There are few PSU 's that are in service sector that can be aimed. But definitely not the manufacturing sector, because India is not good at Mech R&D.

Mine too was the same reason to choose Mech, I was good at physics 🤷‍♂. Also I am interested about a department that consists of diverse fields and life sciences unlike CSE which sticks to coding.

These guy is spitting facts, I was from computer science background and remember my room mates from Mech and Electrical brach used to boast a lot about being in the core branch of engineering and I was not, but deep down I knew there will be hardly any company from core sector will visit for the placement and I was right, only 4 people from entire mech branch got placed that year.
