These were great comparisons. I have just ordered the Pixel 7 Pro, upgrading from the Samsung Note 20 Ultra (crappy camera) and although I could have ordered the S22 Ultra these pics helped make the decision to change. I find that the Samsung cameras are not handling the white balance very well in daytime shots and in many of these the photos appeared over exposed and some of the colours not realistic. With the Pixel 7 Pro I can edit the photos afterwards to brighten them up etc if needed, but I can't take away over-exposure without creating other issues with the photo. I was in Alaska with my sister and her Samsung S10 beat my Note 20 Ultra in almost all shots, even some of the indoor night photos. It was disappointing to realize that I had to edit almost all of my photos before I could upload them. I compared the settings on both phones and they were the same but no comparison on quality of the pics. My sister was on a trip to the gold coast in Australia and her photos on FB were brilliant and beautiful...and she is a point & shoot photographer with no technical ability to alter anything. Her photos were fantastic and unedited. I'm hoping the Pixel 7 Pro will put me in the same ballpark as the Samsung S10!!

samsung is the most notorious in downgrading your camera overtime. when i got my s9+ the photos were amazing but over years, the photos aren't that great anymore.

As a tattoo artist, the better these cameras are getting at picking up the slightest details and glare, the harder it is for us to find the right lighting to get decent photos of our fresh tattoos. Recently did a poll on my Instagram and most people agreed after the iPhone 8, it's all gone down hill as far as our use goes. Makes me nervous when I need to upgrade my phone because this is the primary use for me.

I have the s22 ultra and I'm impressed with the camera set up. It is all down to personal preference and what each person's eyes pick up and how good each person's eye sight is.

The s22 ultra takes some beating. I believe iphone is no longer the chief of the mobile phone world anymore.

I own pixel 7 pro dude and i will tell one thing pixel 7 pro camera some times shows noise in daytime shots with human subject.. i regret buying this piece of sh!t. If anyone owns pixel 7 series please tell me you getting same problem...

why didnt you use the 10 min astro mode on the s22 ultra?

Great review. Thank You. What I miss in this kind of reviews is a comparison of speed of autofocus and quality of pictures while shooting moving objects. I think many users use smartphones for shooting family (especially children) who are in constant move. I've once owned Oneplus, and thier auto focus and sam sort of strange post processing was so slow, that all photos were blurred. I'm following Oneplus user reviews of latest models, and their cameras still sucks, which is not pointed in most of the reviews.

Maaaaan who cares about portrait mode? Can we all just agree that it is a gimmick. Modern smartphones blur the background just from the larger sensors and lenses anyway so we dont need to look at these horrible, fake, janky cutouts any more.
