I really appreciated the detail to explaining how different paints ie transparent and opaque work and how we can come back many times after we dry. Game changer for me! Thank you!!
ОтветитьOu pouvons nous trouver la palette que vous utilisez ? Merci beaucoup pour vos tutoriels qui sont magnifiques.❤❤❤
ОтветитьSuperbe !❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьIm watching from Cornwall, UK. Love to watch you working.
ОтветитьYou are my favorite teacher. Wow. I am in new Mexico and things dry extremely fast here.
ОтветитьThis painting is OK--if you didn't see the inspirational picture. In no way did you capture the smokey color of the clouds. Sorry.
ОтветитьThanks so very much. I really enjoyed following along with your tutorial. I think you described the process so well. Happy New Year from Brisbane Australia.
ОтветитьI have just discovered your amazing videos!! I’m from London UK !
ОтветитьAmazing to see you create!
Beautiful!
Another of your excellent videos. Have you ever used clamps for securing the paper to your board instead of tape? I find less warping of the paper using clamps instead of tape. Thanks again.
ОтветитьGreat and thorough instruction. I found it difficult to paint along with though, as there were too many breaks during the demonstration. I'd love for you to do one w/out greeting everyone, etc., and having to rewet the paper so much. As I was trying to follow along, I kept saying, get on with it, my paper is starting to dry too.
Ответитьthaank you for being such a great teacher. First time I have followed along. Love it
ОтветитьLike your style of painting - Iam from Pinehurst, NC
Ответитьwatching from Ipswich, MA
ОтветитьFantastico!!
ОтветитьYou’re an artist. Your face is so beautiful, but with all due respect, your artwork on it betrays your talent.
ОтветитьThe water and wet flow is where I struggle most. Is anything stopping me from doing that spray as u go into a new area technique rather than constantly racing the dry time? So do a general wash but then as I go into a new "only dry paint" area I pre-spray it
ОтветитьI’m in Texas and this is my first time watching your video.
ОтветитьThank you for explaining the various processes Shelley. Hampshire UK
ОтветитьThank you Shelley! You're inspiring. I look forward to launching into the sky ; )
ОтветитьI wish you could stop with the "uh," "um's," in every three or four words. It's so distracting.
ОтветитьI’m from Baltimore, MD,but I have many friends in Ontario.
ОтветитьHello from northern Alberta :) Thank you so much for your content Shelley. I've been painting water-colour for a few years, never formally taught in high school art classes but I love it. This is inspiring and greatly informative for me. Happy painting!
ОтветитьThis is the second sky video of yours. Fantastic! I’ve learned so much. I look forward to more of your lessons. Thank you.
ОтветитьMud (aka brown) only results when you mix all three primaries. As long as you stick to two primaries, your colors will be clear. Not everyone knows this, but EVERY primary-color paint contains at least a small amount of a second primary. The trick is knowing which of the other primaries is in the hue. For instance, Permanent Rose (Quinacridone red) has blue in it. Cadmium Yellow has a touch of red in it. So if you mix those two colors you will dull down the secondary color (orange) you are mixing, because all three primaries are present. To make a "pure" orange, you need to mix, for instance, Cad Yellow and Cad Red. There is no blue present.
ОтветитьI have tried to paint skies like this one, in which the purple and the orange actually do overlap each other and blend. Is it possible to capture that? Perhaps not.
ОтветитьYou are one of the few demonstrators who pays attention to the amount of water on the brush and the paper--which are critical factors. Also, your red does not look like permanent rose to me. It's very orange.
ОтветитьThank you for doing this! So informative. ❤ from Texas
ОтветитьHello from North Okanogan, BC
ОтветитьWay to slow. Waiting for color and which brush while the paint drys again and agai. Lovely painting though.
ОтветитьHallo from italy i like so much your cloud😊
ОтветитьI LOVE
ОтветитьI loved this tutorial. At the end of the video you said that the finished painting was on facebook and instagram. I scrolled through facebook and found the announcement of the tutorial, but never saw the finished painting. Not as familiar with instagram, so didn't look there. Where would I be able to see the completed painting? Thanks so very much. I think I'm addicted to watching you!
ОтветитьThe most important thing I heard you say in this video was that even YOU couldn’t figure out how some artists get the whole sky done in one go! Trying to do that has caused me more heartache than it was worth. I suspected that layers and resetting could work, but had no idea how to approach it. I’m so grateful that you share your techniques. Thank you!!
Ответитьi dont prop my watercolors up like that , will this still work?
ОтветитьHello from London. Thanks for all your great tips.
ОтветитьJ'apprécie énormément vos vidéos. Vous êtes très créative et une jolie personne. ( Sylvie, fidèle abonnée PARIS FRANCE ) 🥰
ОтветитьThank you Shelley, I learned a lot from this tutorial.
ОтветитьI’ve learned the value of having patience with the paint, paper and myself. Thank you for this tutorial
ОтветитьI have problem for pay the reworkshop 3 skays dramatic I want pay whith credit card ,is not posible only paypal only paypal
ОтветитьSo thrilled that I found you. Thank you for your thorough explanations color, mixing edges, drying, amount of water on your brush, etc. I realize that a beautiful sky doesn’t happen in 5 minutes! Not sure if you are still doing live demos but I hope I can find you. Beautiful sun set.😊
ОтветитьSixteen minutes to start painting, how slow you are, my God!
ОтветитьI used squirrel hair but I am always losing hairs in my painting
ОтветитьWatching from Woodbury New Jersey USA...first time watcher
ОтветитьI discovered you on a Facebook post about the best watercolor tutorials. I’m so glad I checked you out. Right away I was excited to see all four screens! It’s soooo much better seeing all of the actors involved in the play. I wish more artists did this. You’re a wonderful teacher🙌
ОтветитьI am from Thunder Bay, On. I love your instruction. I wish I could attend your classes in person. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI have learnt so much from this tutorial. I have followed other teachers and have been so frustrated that I could not replicate the subject. I really appreciate your description and guidance on how wet the paper was and how to work with that is a game changer for me. Thank you
