If you don't have a chromatic use your "C" harmonica from holes 4 up. ❤. Same thing!
ОтветитьI love it! Back in the late 70’s I was a drunk and used to hang out in sleazy dark lounges and upscale bars that usually had an organ player. The bars were frequented by older 60 something alcoholics drinking scotch highballs and vodka martinis. This sounds exactly what I used to get hammered listening to. I have one of those chromatic harps laying around somewhere and this sounds like fun…and easy! Great lesson Jason! Love it love it love it!
ОтветитьJason I’ve only seen you once an it was here in central WV in Charleston at a little club called the Empty Glass. Shawn Starski was guitarist for you at that time nevertheless y’all completely killed! It was awesome! Anyway it was blatantly obvious at the time you were in a dark place, from gaunt appearance to your demeanor when you came off stage an outside. Despite that, you struck up a conversation with me an my wife and had her laughing her ass off which lasted till you went back on. The point being, she has never forgotten that. Evertime we hear harmonica in a movie sound track she wonders if it’s you, she still has Rocket number 9 in her playlist. She was so excited for you when you did the Butterfield thing at RRHF lol Anyway thanks for a great memory on our end. Hope things continue to go well for you
ОтветитьI gotta get on mine its much easier to carry for busking than my pbass or guitars.
ОтветитьQuestion: Why is there so much Dirty Notes, leaving out Pure Simple Single One Hole Blows, Draws, and Bends? To Me there’s So Much “noice” that some call harmonica.
ОтветитьThought about going to AGT? Though the judges tend to care more about flashy fast playing rather than the music (you can easily do both) you can use their show to influence the world about harmonica in what that instrument can actually do than the stereotypical stuff that people believe.
ОтветитьBel video, grazie!
ОтветитьYou nailed it in the first minute and a half. I bought my first one a month ago.
ОтветитьThanks Jason! I took a break from arguing about the existence of Big Foot to play around with my Chromatic. On a related note, years ago when I got my first Chromatic I told Paul Delay and he said "It can be an ornery beast!"
ОтветитьThank you Jason. ❤ Got a couple of these harps collecting dust in my case and I’m exactly the kinda guy this lesson was aimed at!! Plan on having some fun with this and get the dust off these chromatics!
ОтветитьI want another Hohner chromatic. A meisterclass is what I was looking at, but the money is a problem with me. The one I have now is a tremelo and I don't like it much.
Forgive the spelling please.
Wow, this presentation is amazing! The way you explain things is so clear and easy to understand. Super helpful, keep up the great content! 🙌🔥
Ответитьwow you got me to dig out my chrometta 12 and give it a solid try, thanks man
ОтветитьIn the 60’s my father had several Larry Adler records. I still have my father’s chromatic harmonicas.
ОтветитьSuck and blow. I think I can manage that.😎🙃
ОтветитьI might have to put the chromatic harmonica on my wish list.🧐🤔
ОтветитьWhere were you 55 years ago when I needed you?😎
ОтветитьChromatic is crazy is Willian Clarke ❤ thanks Sr. Jason ❤
Ответитьbtw I hate how good you sound on chromatic 😂😂😂
ОтветитьCall your buddy Bill Barrett and talk to him about bending. Let him blow your mind. ;)
ОтветитьI have the same chromatic. It hurts my lips. I recently bought an unvalved East Top. I like it better and you can bend notes. Anyway, I need all the tips I can get. Thanks for another Friday. Incidentally, on a whim I bought an orchestra tuned Seydel Session. It is laid out like a chromatic with no button. It has that same sound in third position but also bends. It’s kind of weird but fun.
ОтветитьYou had fun and so did I. Thank you ! 😃
ОтветитьChromatic Heaven !!! Bravo !!! Salute !!!
ОтветитьHy Jason hope you are doing well 🙏 love the harmonica playing how's Steve Wonder so cool
Ответить❤❤❤ love this man
ОтветитьFinally, "just blow into the thing" yessss! 😇😂
ОтветитьThanks Jason,I'll have to find mine and give this a go. Funny enough though I've got a Lee Osker Dbm which sounds just like your C Chromatic?
ОтветитьHey Jay, did you eat today Crazy mushrooms…🥣😄🥂… you Are amazing MAN😄😄😄❤️❤️my hero😉🍽👀
ОтветитьIt's amazing 🎉
ОтветитьHey Jason do you think the chromatic harmonica is becoming more popular these days? Do you still have your Suzuki SCX-48?
Ответитьforgot to mention during the premiere, i love how John Nemeth plays chromatic and makes that spooky sounding tremolo using the slide up top, sounds so cool!
ОтветитьHow did you know I have a Chromatic just lieing around?
Mine is a Chrometta 10 (Hohner)
First time i used a chromatic on stage they thought i was a genius. Octave splits in 3rd position blew there minds. Perfect minor 3rds , flat fives and major 7ths. And so easy to learn. Nobody was doing it in my town.
ОтветитьCarey Bell lives man!
ОтветитьLoving this! Free Friday always a treat, but lean to play chromatic, even better!
ОтветитьHi, I was given a used Super Chromatic that Honer could not repair, so they sent me a new Super Chromatic for cheap. I just started playing it about 3 weeks ago. I can get the full chromatic scale starting on low 'C' and a 'harmonic minor' scale in 'E'. The music department president heard me playing the chromatic outside of the music department one afternoon, and she said she was impressed! What do you say to my 'signature' song with the late WILLIAM CLARKE: 'Blowin' Like Hell'? I see plenty of other folks attempting that song, but not quite accurate on chromatic, especially the drum part that I created.
ОтветитьJason , which chromatic are you recommend to buy, and in what key?❤
ОтветитьLike, share and subscribe. Thank you.
ОтветитьAwesome.🌙🐈⬛93/93
Ответитьi am that little ferret!!!!
ОтветитьThat's well timed. I've just bought a Trochilus 10 hole Chromatic.
ОтветитьO snap jasonis doing a lesson on chromatic!
