Hoping for enough rain to suppress fire hazard

Loving the cool & cloudy around Puget Sound. I always hope for a good drenching rain each July 4th to help douse the fires started by scofflaws setting off fireworks.

I'm enjoying the cooler temps, such a heat coward. Your wet rock pal.

Bravo Science Dad, and lucky Science Jr. My dad took me to old Fancher Field airstrip in N.E.Wenatchee for thermals to fly gliders w Boeing Soaring Society, daddy was tow pilot. Now if you want a hot, dry place, Go find your fun. Miles from moisture, updraft off basalt cliff were thrilling in a creaking motorless airplane.

As long as the storms come from the southwest, and there is no frost danger, I am fine with a little rain and thunder.

Rainy 4th

Much of the rest of the nation is broiling so that you could cook a porterhouse medium-well, but here we are sitting pretty and comfy in the 60s and 70s. Many don't care for it but I sure do. It reminds me of the summers when I was a kid pre-1980. I hope July and August go easy on us too. Thanks Michael!

You sure don't find much weather information about Southern Oregon anymore. It reminds me how all mail now has to go to the city-state of Portland now to be processed.

I think in my lifetime in the PNW about half of the 4th of July's have rained.
