Would the 7’6” soare xr be able to cast 0.5-1g jigs a good amount of distance? Or whats the smallest jig it could cast

Do you prefer the 6ft model or the 7 ft model? I plan to fish from shore using 3/32 hair jigs, 1/8 size rooster tails, and 1/8 size swimbaits

Nice review. Would this rod be suitable for hardbody jerkbaits and crankbaits in the 2-6g range? And what weight range of fish could you realistically target with this rod?

Victor have you ever fished a Shimano 20 Soare Xtune rod of any length?? Do you know if the Shimano 20 Soare Xtune is of higher quality than the Shimano Soare 21 Xtune XR?? I've been doing some research comparing the two series but can't seem to find any differences other than variety of models and weight between the same models of each. Which conclude that the technologies used to create both models are the same. Yet the 20 Soare Xtune rods are lighter than the 21 Xtune XR series. I would really appreciate your expertise/opinion on the topic. Sorry for such lengthy question, just wanted to make sure I was clear. Thanx again & God Bless you my friend.

Доброго времени суток! Как в целом Вам эта удочка? Какой реальный низ теста по Вашему? Есть вариант взять солидовый вариант, и тубулярный, вот я думаю🤔

Another great vid! Would your Vanquish 2500s reel be to big for this 7’6 soare rod?

Good gawd man...3/4 ton diesel towing 18mpg , 26' boat with a giant air catching top! Gets 17-18. Plus, I see your station wagon squating, with that boat? You're in DIXIE now. Everyone can tell, "you aint from round here, are ya boy?" You are fitting in a little bit, driving across the front lawn though. Next ya need a ole sofa on the front lawn, a fire pit and a cooler full of empty PBR's!

The soare rods are really good.
I got two models and want to get more. Have you tried the m-caros with jigs?

Just a few ideas that I use that are very successful. I use a rig that I call a fluke rig. Attached to my main line I tie a tiny double swivel with about a 28" fluorocarbon leader with a 1/32 jig and plastic. I have another double swivel running free above the one that is tied on to a 14" leader and it also has a jig and plastic. I add a minnow or crappie nibbles. I catch a lot of doubles of perch and crappie with this rig. As for an interesting rod, I once bought an HT Micro Master Super Utlralite 48" one piece rod P/N MM-48 in Indianapolis on sale for $5. I later bought 8 more for $10.29 each and gave them to my son, his wife, and their kids and two others to a cousin and a brother-in-law. They are so much fun and to me, are just a great rod for a tiny amount of money.

i_fish, I wanted to leave you a comment thanking you for all your UL research on rods and reels. Taking your advice, I bought two Daiwa Presso UL's. I did get shorter lengths than you recommended...both were four footers. I just love them. One has a Daiwa Legalis LT1000D and the other has a Daiwa Legalis LT2500D-XH. I fish in Illinois at a club near South Wilmington (Mazonia area). I do a lot of fishing like you are doing in this video. Fishing from a dock from 5 - 8 p.m. catching brook trout, rainbows, saugeye, and perch. Congratulations on your new home. My son and daughter-in-law want so badly to move to Tennessee. I live in the country and except for the politicians in our state, I am happy with the fishing in my my part of Illinois. Clinton Lake is 84 miles away, and I fish at Braidwood and LaSalle a lot. Also, have access to a farm pond along with the Fireman's Club in South Wilmington. Glad you are enjoying yourself. Your videos are such a help. Best wishes and once again, thank you! (I'm the one who pointed out your generosity when you gave Richard Gene that very expensive UL rod.)

Long ultralight rods are so much fun. I got myself an abu real finesse 7'9 and it's been awesome fun. I even got some 80cm Australian salmon on it.

You have an incredible collection of reels. I have a first generation Aero, from 89 I think and still use occasionally. They made the stradic from it the next year from it. Looks like your in America.

Love the video! Just was doing this last weekend with my eradicator real finesse but I was using my garmin livescope plus off the dock, I have my echomap ultra 106 mounted on top of a 5 gallon bucket with a locking lid with the black box and a 23ah lithium battery inside the bucket. Then my transducer is on my fishing specialties pole and I use one of their flush mounts attached to a piece of plywood, put the piece of plywood down on the side of the dock then the bucket on top and slip the pole in and I’m able to scan around while dock fishing. The perspective mode on the new transducer is amazing in 12 feet or less. It’s a pretty slick setup I could email you a picture of it if you would like to see it in action, appreciate the uploads as always!

I use a drogue off the stern of my 8' Walker Bay which has a keel. I can drift downwind so slow and so relaxing. I've found the fish bite hard when she blows. Maybe I'll take the boat out in Saturday.

Please don't do your drag like Troutmagnetman, his drag is way too loose. I understand the reason behind it but I can't stand watching him fish anymore because of how loose his drag is and also his whole "Shoot, Fire, Whatcha talkin Bout!" thing, so annoying. I love his reviews though, just not when he starts fishing...

You can set my truck in fire and roll it down a hill. I still wouldn't change it for a coupe de ville. My boat fishes extremely well and gets comments from other angler's who get blown ashore watching me catch fish. I wish I could be blown ashore. Oh yeah got a date on Friday.

Are you deleting my comments on your last video by chance? I've tried commenting four different times and it keeps disappearing. If you don't want people to know about the Keitech's I'll keep my mouth shut 😂
