Do you need to use the purple bottle that is reef safe if you plan on doing a reef tank for your cycle or is the blue bottle fine I would assume it is okay

Is this the same as mb7? I have mb7 and mb clean! I used to dose mb 7 and vibrant. I know you no longer recomend vibrant. What is the dr tim alternative? My lfs dosnt carry brightwell and I usually order from you guys but I am i a hurry to clean my frag tank that finished cyling about 3 weeks ago (keeping cycle going by adding dr tims amonia drops) I am almost out of clean and mb7 plus I have cyano brought on some frag plugs, so one of the reasons I have been waiting to put frags in tank! I have more frags coming and tanks are to crowded! I guess what I am asking is what is good to dose together to keep tank clean, and keep cyano at bay, also ugly stage of new frag tank! ? Also denitrifying bacteria. I Currently have chemi clean in one tank) Do I need 3 products? I read that refresh and waste away is good for cyano, but not a denitrying! I like to dose dentrying as well because I dont have a refugium just a skimmer! I have been dosing mbclean already to my new frag tank, what takes the place of that that is dr tims and what takes the place of mb 7 that is dr tims?. I also prefer not to dose 3 products unless I have to! I hope this makes sense...lol

Hey I need so help. I just added this to my tank. For my filter would I have to completely turn off my filter for 48 hours or can I just remove my sponge pad and my bio media sack ?

This stuff actually made my tank spike in nitrates and nitrites. Really don't recommend. But seachem Prime saved my tank by giving it 5 times dose. Anyone else experience this or was it possibly a bad batch?

So I just put up my new Innovative marine nuvo fusion 30L. I used RODI water, live pink fiji sand and added a full bottle of Dr Tim's one and only, and 2 small clowns. It's been 21 days, and no signs of ammonia, nitrite or nitrates. Is my tank cycled or no?

Your video and Dr Tims instructions mention to remove mechanical filtration like filter socks. However Dr Tims instructions says to leave sponges and filter floss running in the filter. What would the difference be between filter socks and filter floss? Do you recommend removing the filter floss or can I leave it running in the filter while dosing One and Only? Thanks!

do yourself a favor and only add 2 drops per gallon, using 4 put my ammonia off the charts....

Should I be able to detect ammonia right away after adding ammonium chloride?? I just dosed the right amount for my 20gal tank, did an ammonia test and it’s only reading 0.25. Does it take a while to spread or have I just does the wrong amount?? 😅 cheers

Hey, can someone help me? I’ve been cycling for over a month. Everything was looking good until I came home from a three day vacation meaning I wasn’t feeding the tank ammonium. My ammonium and nitrite level was both at zero and had nitrate at 10 ppm. I immediately got happy thinking my tank was cycled but the next couple days my ammonium has gone up to 2ppm. My question is; is my tank cycled or did o starve my good bacteria?

Is it a good idea to pour this directly into the filter sponges as well? Figured it'd be good for the bacteria to stick onto

for my 15g reef tank which oz bottle of one and only should i grab from your site? 2 or 4oz im guessing ?

So let me get this right. If you add just the one and only, you add fish. If you do fish less you need the one and only and the ammonia? Is that right?

I use Dr Tim's method and cycled my fresh water 120 gallons fishlees method, in 7 days, but I did a 50% water change to reduce the nitrates that was to high and look like a back the process and now a have .25 ppm of ammonia and nitrites too, I just drop some more bacteria my question is I still should wait a little time to add fish? I did without heather and the water is 75 degrees al the time.

Does this work the same if I have amonia already in my new set up tank and then I added the one and only for my fresh water tank? I started a new cherry shrimp tank and added Bacter AE at the beggining of the set up. There are plants and a few snails. Its a 10 gallon and I added enough for about a 25 gallon. My amonia level is about 4. Should this start to take hold and work in my tank?

Getting ready to cycle a new Reefer 170. Going the fish less method with lower salinity and higher temps. How do you recommend raising the salinity? I dont understand how you can add fish in there straight away after using the product even if nitrites are not zero?

I have a 55 gallon tank, and 7 days ago I put in One and Only, along with 2 clowns. Ammonia is about 0.8, maybe a tad more. I'm just wondering how long this should be happening? At what level should I do a water change? Should I add more? Should I add something else? I bought the 60 gallon bottle.

Quick question I added dr Tim's one and only to my tank it's 4 gallon. How long does it take to see delevopment of nitrites i am new to all this.

i am seeing 20ppm of nitrate which is direct from the tap i had a bacterial bloom for about 2 hours after adding it i kept my filter off to allow it to drop to the bottom and settle on my ceramic media. Temp is 82.2f (28.2c) now but was put in at 77.5f (25.5c)

Hi. I'm going to follow the BRS advised 4 month cycle method. I'm running a Nano Tank and wondered what utilitarian fish would be best for this type of tank. The yellow tang gets mentioned but my tank is nowhere near big enough. Its the fluval 13.5 gallon. Thanks.

I think it's important to point out that those tips for speeding up fishless cycling work regardless of bottled bacteria brand, because you are setting your tank up for ideal conditions for the bacteria that is present in standard reef aquariums, not just dr Tim's specific bottle of bacteria.

I like how you have acknowledged the salinity and temperature tips from his macna presentation! Are we safe to assume that the bacteria he talks about in the presentation are the ones included in this product? Or is it the way we cycle the tank following the guidelines that produces the bacteria he talks about?

This product has been around forever so really no need to review it. There are numerous videos on this product and other product that are similar to it. They all work. What I hate about the amonia chloride is that you don't need that much. I have like 7/8 of the bottle left.

Does that bottle contain Aerobic or Anerobic Nitrifying Bacteria?

How is gas exchange happening in that sealed bottle?

How long can aerobic bacteria survive without oxygen, food, water movement, light or proper temperature?
