I just started getting into screenwriting, I'm fairly new to it, I have no idea what I want to do, whether I wanna become a writer for real, or do it for fun.
I'm currently working on a crime drama tv series called "takeover"
SYNOPSIS:
Draymond is fearless and power driven, he seeks to avoid violence at all costs, but trouble always manage to follow him, until he meets a charming beautiful woman who hopes to change him.
PLOT:
The episode starts with draymond "Dray" Hendrix in his apartment, sitting in the living room, playing call of duty, using his headset and trash-talking the online players.
Hazel Thayer will be President until Abbie recovers from her extreme mental illness.
ОтветитьMikhaila and Abbie die with mikhaila’s every limb being blown up. Her bleeding “body” is dragged on the battlefield by Abbie when her head gets precisely smashed by the heavy gun of a very Russian soldier. This dream must recur every time they sleep and they must be forced to sleep frequently. The pain can be realistic sometimes.
Ответить99.9 get rejected can we explain all the bad movies. guess you have to know the right people
ОтветитьNo! I don't believe it. I've seen too man crap movies made.
ОтветитьI really wish Arc Studio wasn’t a Subscription service, I would gladly pay to own it as a stand-alone software.
ОтветитьThe 1%?!?!?! Triggered!! I just want examples of screenplays. But this will certainly do
ОтветитьThanks for the video
ОтветитьGreat video. I just downloaded ArcStudio based on your advice. I self-published my novel on Amazon in 2021. I am ready to create a screenplay. I am looking at some courses on udemy but not quite sure if they are right for me. I am motivated and have given myself a deadline of August 26th this year (for the first draft). If I say I will do it, my word is as good as gold but I do need the right course. If you can suggest something along the lines of udemy, that won't break the bank, that would be really appreciated.
ОтветитьCan you explain what is a " beat " ?
How does it differ from an action or an event ?
Sorry, i don't get it and this video look to be 🔥
What if a boy has a crush on a girl. But she’s gay. So the boy tries his best to make the girl fall for him
ОтветитьBro tried to sneak in twilight
ОтветитьWell thanks for all the advice. I have a lot of ideas for movies.
One idea for a movie was based on characters from the movie "Spring Breakers". That movie and more importantly the theme of that movie, was quite thought provoking, Even more interesting was the fact that two character in that movie, (Candy played by Vanessa Hudgens and Brit played by Ashley Benson), seemed to be of one mind. Their moral compass was shocking, especially for women, and drastically different from another character, Faith played by Selena Gomez. In short, Candy and Brit, were as much predators, as any male rapist in prison. Candy and Brit never argued and often seemed to communicate telepathically in Spring Breakers. So I came up with an idea with Candy, Brit and Faith, which delves pretty deep into some philosophical, justice, theological and moral issues. I called this movie, "She Died for Nothing".
I have not put this movie on paper, and wonder if I would ever get the chance, since they are characters of someone else's movie.
Does extremeness to the concept makes it more interesting and intriguing or it can make the opposite effect? I want to become a screenwriter and i would like to embrace the concept of fiction to the fullest and make mind blowing stories ( spiderverse, doctor strange, lego movies etc, type of stories that present a harmonic chaos) is this screenwriting " technique" good for a screen? Or it should be avoided for newbies ?
ОтветитьBecause 99.9% of the movies they choose are the same super heroes sequels 🤡
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьDear Hunter, would it be wrong if the Mise-en-scene had to be written as half a page? I have a full-length drama and action script that I have been working on for four years. In my scenario (Dialoglu scenario), the description of some scenes is a bit long. (about half a page) I can't shorten that scene or description even if I wanted to, because the meaning gets distorted. I follow you from Turkey and I have great admiration. Can you please help me with this? B.Regards.
ОтветитьWhen i remember how many terrible scripts see the light of the day that gives me hope 😂 jk
ОтветитьThe more you watch garbage videos like this less time you spend writing your screenplay
ОтветитьTarantino?! Come on... bottom of the barrel
ОтветитьHi. I consult on creative interdisciplinary thinking, life and personal mindset change over ZOOM. Having been a sculptor for many years and a writer for over 8. (One of my screenplays made it even to AGBO, the production company in LA, run by the Russo brothers)
If interested, dm me for more information and with a short summary what you want to achieve. I am unknown. You don’t have to be. Unlock your full potential.
Thanks for the lovely tips I was strggling to set things in the motion, also midsommar was pretty good
ОтветитьSo I should write 1000 screenplays? Challenge accepted
ОтветитьHow does ARC Studio differ to FinalDraft?
ОтветитьGood luck with your stuff everyone!
Ответить99% of screenplays get rejected?? That's insane becuase they are some garbage ass movies out there
ОтветитьOnly the best screenplays get produced 😂 Have you Black Adam? Fan4stick? Batman vs Robin? Justice League? Ballistic? Slenderman? Cruise 2?
ОтветитьThank you so much for the tips! But one thing I noticed that you didn't talk about was planning too far ahead, and this doesn't just apply to screenplays, but novels, novellas, theater scripts, poems, anything! If you plan the entire story before writing it down then you actually have a chance of developing writers block which is caused by creative stress, or you end up making something lack luster because you wrote one part only to go to the next, which is why many current MCU projects aren't as good as they could be, because all of it is just meant to lead to the ultimate team-up movie that Kevin Feigi already announced: "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty!" Thanos was only included in the post credits scene of "Marvel's The Avengers" because the director wanted him to be the big bad controlling Loki. He wasn't originally intended to be the main antagonist of the entire Infinity Saga. It wasn't even the Infinity Saga yet because the writers didn't really know where to take the story yet, only starting to set up the Infinity Stones at the end of "Thor: The Dark World." Actually they didn't even decide on why Thanos wanted the Stones in the first place until shortly after writing the script for "Avengers: Infinity War." It's good to have a general idea of where your story is going, but 95% of what you're writing is usually improvised. My best works I started writing the day I came up with them.
ОтветитьI want to write my script on paper do I write on both sides of the paper?
ОтветитьVery informative. Learned a lot thank you.
ОтветитьI write on paper basically. I like it much more than using softwares.
ОтветитьThank you to the introduction to Script writing, please how do I make use of the site or app?
ОтветитьHow about being skilled enough to stay and use real human beings as opposed to this new aged test on something fresh and new. The real skill needed not use AI beauties or insects for a nutritious diet. I'm out. thank you though
Ответитьdang, good pitch , i actually went to arc studio
ОтветитьNow how do I write a whole story using beats with Writerduet? That's a video to make!
ОтветитьAfter finally accepting my love of filmmaking, I really want to start screenwriting with a few ideas for stories. I rarely try to artistically express myself so this will be a big step.
ОтветитьThank you for your video. I think it’s important inspiring people to learn the craft of screenwriting :)
ОтветитьLet's learn I'm ready to learn about Screenwriting
ОтветитьTake a freshman and sophomore English class at your college.
Then take a creative writing course. Then you'll have the foundation for story writing which will become a screen play.
No one would pick you up after any of this advice, threw in an advert on top, and gets a bit of extra income by views.
Respect the hustle, anybody watching looking for advice please ignore.
Hope your videos can help. Like the way you introduced your material today. Great video.
ОтветитьI think your third point tie into another really important aspect: write great characters! I always write a biography about my characters before I start writing, make them as real and as personal to me as I can. That way they (hopefully) feel real and personal when I go to write my screenplay. You said it well at the end, we are writing about human beings in all their complexity, desires and insecurities and it needs to come across on the page or else nobody will care about the story you are telling
ОтветитьI mean no disrespect, I appreciate your great work, I just wish to point out it's "raises the question". Begs the question (petitio principiiLatin, begging the premise, )is a logical fallacy wherein the premise preemptively presumes the truth of the conclusion without providing logical justification. A form of circular reasoning.
ОтветитьThis is not only very insightful on what is to consider in writing screenplays, no it also spits facts rather than experiences, and encourages instead of demoting by telling people what they did was wrong. It gives me promise and hope that someday, a storyidea of mine, gets to see the light of day. And if one had asked me half a year ago, I didn't even conisder getting into writing at all. So thank you very much for this video and your time
ОтветитьQuestion about the Arc Studio if I was to put my script into their program who would be seen it besides myself?
ОтветитьWhat I write should work then. 🤞
ОтветитьIf I don’t know how to write a script, should I learn on my own or find a school or classes.? I have ideas but not enough actors, and I want to see my ideas come to life one day even if I sell them
ОтветитьAmazing advice!
