So this is the sound you can get from a pristine 78rpm shellac record. I know that some of us are sure that gramophone-epoch music was heavily destroyed by inevitable crackles. That's not true (well, not really). And even in 20s and 30s, a combination of a high quality gramophone and a brand new record could give you an almost crackless sound. In this video I try to extract as much as possible from a shellac record (the sound you can hear is of a higher quality than even the best gramophones were able to provide) using (more or less) modern technologies :)

Apparatus: custom made Numark TTX (external transformer, modified antiskating system, changeable azimuth, plus many other fixes) + mono version of AT95 cartridge with AT95-78 3 mil stylus.
