Thank you for the video
Found it strange even though I wouldn’t mind to drive to Lidl as there are so many of them around when I put my postcode it won’t let me to find a store.
Instead it asks me to pay £8.99

Hi Lucy it's Jeanette not Joe ... if anything something like that will be great to take if you are visiting with your mum, or a friend for the day or over night to have somewhere to lay your baby down while your there, one time when my family and I went to a park to celebrate Easter my sister had forgotten to bring her babies little bassinet and my mom had a box in her trunk so my sister put a baby blanket in it and when nobody was holding baby Michael he layed in the box on top of one of the picnic tables it worked out fantastic

Since Finland brought these out these has been no sudden infant deaths. Unfortunately in the Uk there is still about 216 deaths per year.

As parents we want everything to look nice but the health of our baby is much more important.

Some parents say that they can’t see there baby in them, this is usually because they have been put on a raised surface. They are meant to be used on the floor, you can then see your baby and it also prevents the box being knocked off a surface or falling as baby wriggles.

If you do prefer a crib, your midwife and health visitor will talk to you a lot about safe sleep and there is lots of great safe sleep advice on the lullaby trust website, along with information on the risks of different baby equipment, like sleepy head and perfect prep bottle makers.

What a great thing. I knew about the Scottish one and some NHS trusts have their own version funded by a charity but didn't realise you could get one from Lidl for free. My baby grew out of her moses basket at 2 months old (she's 3 months now), I definitely would have used the box instead. Oh well, thanks for sharing. Don't forget the Emma's Diary freebees. :)

This is hilarious! I've never heard of anything like this. It really is awesome for people who maybe can't afford a bassinet or something though! It's great that they provide something like that. So nice that they give diapers and wipes too. Very cool!

We do them in Scotland too but they come from the governemt 😊 but ours are filled with hundreds of things including clothes, bottles, blankets, bottle steraliser and loads more. Basically everything you'd need for a new baby. Also the box has been proven to reduce the risk of cot death and are much safer than a Moses basket. It's amazing. Every expectant mother gets one regardless of their income status. the scottish government put it in place a few years ago xo
