If AI learns at an astronomical rate, it doesn’t matter what we do right now, it’s already figured out a way to defeat humans.

It baffles me that the parties working on AI for years now warn for their own technology. It’s manipulation, don’t believe everything people say. The most existential threat is many people who will lose their jobs, the gap between rich and poor. They just are muddying the waters bc they refuse to focus on the real dangers.

Seem like chatGpt are not able to do physics research, or discover any field of unknown knowledge. It get an access to a library of most of human knowledge. Much faster on learning these，personally I feel it help us to have a easy access to human knowledges which is good. It will not replace research function of human. We will still do this core part. Not too worry about human future. It indeed threaten jobs, there is need some kind of regulation should be put on table. What I saw I am still not sure AI is smarter, especially AI is open and kind for us until now. But We should stop use AI do bad things, that is human behaviour, we should have law to put on table to control AI not to be developed in to wrong direction. Just It is not easy, I am not sure we will actually reach a point we could stop all the crime conduct in very hidden area such as AI programs.
