I’ve a Rolex submariner and a 20 year old car. So what.

I enjoy my (rather expensive) accessories because they are good quality and I got them when I could afford them. I’ve worn my Rolex, daily, since I got it 25 years ago. Same goes for my Montblanc set, ties, etc. I even used those accessories during the times I had lost my job and had to find odd/survival jobs. I couldn’t care less about what others think or wanted to guess about my life. Also, I refuse to drive expensive cars for the sake of status. Cars are just cars, only useful for transportation. I just pay extra for safety. Whenever I can ride in a bus/metro/train, I do so.

I’ll admit I accidentally came across your channel. It’s refreshing to see a channel with honest and practical advice on being a real gentleman in various situations. Subscription is well earned.

Hi.. I have a question..
I'm a carpenter. So I usually wear plaid and jeans 😁
However.. if I wear the suit I like during the weekends or after hrs ( and maybe this is where confidence is at play ), wouldn't people who know me catch on something maybe too different ?
I'm always confused about where my boundaries can go regarding clothes. Maybe believing that I should wear accordingly to what I do for a living.

Sven, do you work out at a gym or at home? Do you ride a bike or run? You could stand some toning in your arms and body my man. Part of being a gentleman in the 21st century is to be fit. You have money, do yourself a favor and buy a gym membership. We don't have to be muscle men, in fact that is questionable, but we shouldn't border on chubby either when our image is so important to us, as yours is to you. Cheers!

Good foundation for discussion. Many of these are forms of emotional intelligence. Where my confidence is thin, I would say is when I am not consciously aware of my acts. I am also sure others can resonate this. As evenings are filled with tired people who may be a little different from a fresh set of eyes in the morning. Regardless, it’s nice to have a foundation of awareness for those times I can catch myself from poor etiquette. Thanks for this.

I love your content but need to correct you for once " you never see Polo shirts with ALDI" - actually I have: ALDI did indeed sell sweat pants, hoodies, polos, shirts and shower shoes with a huge ALDI logo on it ... About 25 years ago there was a joke on a German comedy TV show where I think it was Wigald Boning wearing a suit style jacket made out of plastic bag ALDI logos - he probably gave them the idea.

Watching this I felt a bit called out with the pink suit part. The bride asked me as the man of honour to wear a pink suit. So say what you want, I’m going to wear the pink suit. And yes it will have a bow tie. Jokes aside I find the coincidence kinda funny.

People Who are compensating are usually louder than people who are confident.

I once read something along the lines of "if you want to know how someone really is, just observe how they interact with someone who they might deem leser than themselves. A service person like a waiter or even a homeless person on the street."

Just remember though polite does not mean acceptance of someone trying to help you find something, or ask you for something. It means not engaging or saying" I'm good, thanks". But just like Spiderman everyone only gets one.

there is a lot of BAD content out there teaching young men to be "Alpha"
they are disguised as" Help "videos but they actually propagate negativity and toxicity
They take a lot of what was spoken here but more perverted and make it in a way to make us men fight amongst eachother .... I want to go into detail with my own vid I'll upload
a young man watching those videos will really grow up with a messed up belief system about himself and other men in general.

my point = a lot of "confidence" videos are bad and the guys making the content have a strange mindset of what a ->man<- is supposed to be.
