In Singapore where I’m from, weddings are essentially “crowdfunded”. Each wedding attendee is expected to gift the couple a red packet of money. Often the wedding pays for itself that way (some people even make money and put it towards buying a home or their honeymoon).

You American sit and discuss wat is the American dreams either to have a house or to have lavish life style..

We had the simplest $10,000 wedding for 80 people... so we could have a nice house & honeymoon... we wanted it to be cheaper but things really ADD UP for a wedding! 😭 (Granted, we splurged and hired a videographer too and paid for a hotel for immediate family.) We got maybe half of the money back in gifts so the wedding basically cost $5k. Loved having all of our family together though... Don't regret our simple wedding, but part of me wishes it was even simpler 😂😂😂

This show must be being bankrolled by the wedding industry, right? Given how often they pick wedding, they must have been incentivised by the show to pick it on-camera with agreements to pay a percentage or something. Either that or these people really are that insane.

Ep 1 gave me hope but the end decision made zero sense. All the good things about the house were way more promising and especially the price drop, yet the couple still picked wedding 😑 not to mention covid restrictions felt like rubbing salt in the wound. And the ending just feels anticlimactic. Yeah no..

This was a really cute concept and idea. However, I think weddings are mostly for show and don't make the marriage. For that reason I'd purchase a home and have the wedding in my yard. However, I'd make it so spectacular that my guest would think they were at a venue. Problem solved.

Can’t stand the house lady! I can’t believe she staged a nursery in the house of the woman who has fertility problems. Plays dirty that one!!

I watched one episode: Raven + Antonio and I have to say these two knuckleheads are the World's dumbest mothafuckas. They live in a cramped 2 bedroom APARTMENT & they chose a wedding vs a beautiful home. That was it for me. I've truly never seen dummies like that. You chose a wedding of one day vs a lifetime of gaining space & a backyard and more.

Anyways. I hope this show doesn't get a second season.

This is it. The dumbest show ever made.

While some may hate this show, this a great social experiment to watch with your partner. Discuss kids, house needs, values in weddings. Do they put their own wants above your needs? Their wants over what they can afford? Do they want an hour long shower for stretching?

I can't understand the mind-set of anyone who chooses putting money towards a lavish wedding (really, just a big party where you get to be a princess/prince for a day) instead of the home where you raise your children and build the memories that create a rich, rewarding life.

Doesn't matter whether with the context of covid or not. The house is always the correct decision.
