What I don't understand is people dive with tiger sharks and if they come near they guide them with the hands in a other direction.

If a tiger shark rushes like this one i don't think you can guide them calmly and relaxed in a other direction.

You’re lucky it didn’t attack half a foot closer to your actual foot. That was so scary, how fast it came up and chomped down on the kayak. If they want you, you’re toast. Makes you realize how often they don’t really want us.

Man that was terrifying to watch gave me a fright and I’m an Aussie 😂, though I’m a land based one, I do enjoy a snorkel in tropical waters usually Thailand, although I had the pleasure when I was a lot younger to enjoy your fair Island and drive around Waimea bay and the great national park where there was a Hawaiian festival on totally full of locals, it was brilliant my Girlfriend and I loved it, especially the young guys dancing with older ladies love that community stuff, I don’t enjoy the very touristy places very much, I prefer to meet locals and learn something.
