Oculus Quest 2 My Best Headphones!

Nice review I’ve got a question for the quest 2 on my system which is 2700x/16ram/2070-8gb graphic card but can’t get the FPS over 35-40 on the lowest setting on it and the games ams2 project cars 2/3 acc which is 💩 for vr but still get 35-40fps any ideas how to get it up

Have you considered using the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap with the Franken-Quest Mod? You will get premium audio and a highly rated comfortable head strap to boot!

I really enjoy the Logitech Quest 2 earbuds. The cable is trimmed just right, and you can tuck the wires between your facial interface and the headset. The result is you don't have to put on headphones as a second step. You just put on the headset, and the earbuds just hang down by your ears. You plug them in and off you go. When you pull your headset off, the earbuds just pop out of your ears. Best of all, the headset with elite battery strap and these earbuds, all fit in the official case that comes with the battery head strap.

I just wish the earbuds were solid white instead of silver/blue on the buds, but it's such a minor complaint, it's almost not worth making.

I had a pair of those Sony headphones in high school. They were probably my favorite until I got some real audiophile grade stuff
Edit: If you can, you should check out Koss KOH30i headphones. They're superb and around $30. They are open back however.

So far the best I could get was to take in-earbuds and run the cables under the face interface cover and secure them in the side with a couple of Velcro straps.. the result is pretty similar to the official Logitech earbuds

am surpise that your able to play with the quest with all the shit it have haha do you have the probleme of account banned or encounter any other issue ?

when ut comes to vr the padding on the top or lack of padding does not matter as your gonna have your headset strap is between your head and the headphones

Don’t you get hot when using over the ears in active games ?

Marshall are great headphones for Rock and Metalheads like me.
I use a Major 2 with my Quest2, its wireless/wired and also a built-in mic.

Hey Karl. Love the videos very informative, and you have a very personable style.
The Amazon UK link takes us to a Bluetooth wireless version which I think are not the ones you're talking about.

But I think the eBay link takes us to the wired 60 quid version. Is there a way of checking whether they are the genuine article, the real McCiy so to speak, I mean like a mark, or placement of logo etc. I read on 1 Amazon review that there are lots of fakes out there.

One of the most popular mods for the Rift S and Quest 1 were to get 3D-printed mounts to hold the drivers from Koss Porta Pros. Why? The Rift CV-1 used the same drivers and as you know, those worked really well for VR. I assume the same mod exists for the Quest 2 (it must). You could get the mounts printed in white and, since Koss Porta Pros have been around for decades and have a big fanbase, you can even get white earpads for them off ebay.

There are a lot of people complaining on reddit about their quest 2 being blurry or with too much god rays, apparently it's a quality control issue with the lenses, some units are fine others not so much. I'm wondering since you got two of them if you noticed any difference in quality between them both? I want to buy one but the sheer amount of complaints made me really worry, and since I will be importing it, sending it back isn't a option.

Any update on how mounting the marshalls is going? Always loved their design!

Hi Karl, appreciate the recommendation of the Marshall Major 3's. I'm gonna get a pair, but have been struggling to find a cable that is a) white & b) doesn't have the large casing like you described in your video. Have you had any luck and can point me in the right direction please?

Can we plug a bluetooth headphone with the quest2 ?

Koss ksc75 are great. You can fix them just with that earclips. Great sound for 23 Euros.

I love my audio, have monitor audio silver 5.1 and onkyo receiver for home cinema and expensive headphones for PC gaming but in VR I like as little baggage as possible so make do with the quest built in headphones

I bought some nice buds myself

I modded my halo strap with my CV1 headphones, just wired them together like any old headphones and attached them to the headstrap with some thermoplastic, (the stuff you heat in water) once attached I adjusted fitment with a hairdryer and they are perfect

You didn't mention if either do 3D spacial sound??!?? Pretty much THE most important thing in looking for VR headphones no??

Hay Karl, I’m looking to improve the audio on my q2. I have a set of Sony mdr-xb550ap extra bass headphones. Similar to the Sony ones you show here. I mainly use headphones for beat saber. Trouble is when volume at max on them I’d like that bit more. I feel I should reach my volume limits before hitting max. Do the Marshall’s play louder than than the Sony’s and how good really is the bass on them. Lol I’m a bit of a bass head.

for the sony headphones, theres a few files on thingiverse that let you convert them into attachable headphones with ease, I've done it with my pair and they fit beautifully

These Marshall's sound amazing by the way you talk about them. They are also beautiful. But I am used to 7.1 headsets. Do you think that I'll notice the difference when I buy these Marshall's headphones to use on my new Quest 2 that is yet to be shipped?

Would your idea fit a halo strap as well

Appreciate the info, very detailed from a consumers perspective. Didn't even think of it being a bother, if the headphones weren't attached to the unit. Makes sense.

Debating getting those Sony headphones cos there's a clip-on attachment available for the Quest 2 elite strap, but I went and bought the Halo strap instead so not sure now whether the clips will be compatible. It looks like part of the halo strap gets in the way but won't know till I get it and see how it sits on my head.

am confused i want to get the marshall but you have different links to it, you have the Bluetooth and the wired version, the Bluetooth also comes with wires, so which one should i get?

Bought these last week after watching this. Had two headphones that gave way too low volume and not good enough audio on my quest 2. A bit weird since one pair is a decent corsair headset that sounds good on my pc. Anyway, these marshalls major III's are really good just like you said. Even the cable is manageable. They also have great wireless sound (not working on quest 2 tho) . Thanks for the review!

Just bought the clip on 3d printed version of these exact Sony headphones on ebay . Excellent cable management.

Payed nearly £50 to buy and import these to Nz.Add on currency exchange, import tax and shipping included in that price.☹

But looks better than bionix and others out there and still less than half the cost of rebuff reality ones.
