Which hit song do you feel doesn't get enough airplay? 🤔
ОтветитьJerry Lee Lewis is DEAD. He died last year.
ОтветитьAll these songs are thrashed to death on oldies radio stations. Dig a little deeper. 😖
Ответить"Casijno Royale" -- Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass
"Out In The Country" -- Three Dog Night
"Ball Of Confusion" -- The Temptations
Some songs came and went before I even recognised them
ОтветитьI would have liked to have heard more of each song rather than hatter yatter
ОтветитьThis reminds us of the future of Rock and roll that transcends from the past to the present day of Rock and roll. . I love that and I think many people would like more of this compilation videos. I love that.
ОтветитьGood job ! There is lots more material out there though ! i.e. Brenton Wood ! for one !
ОтветитьHouse of the Rising Sun is my all time favorite.
ОтветитьAll I can say about this video and all others like it - STFU and play the music.
Ответить96 Tears was one of the worst songs ever recorded. It no surprise that it inspired garage rock and punk.
Ответитьleft out 'Windy' by The Association and 'Winchester Cathedral' by New Vaudeville Band. also, John Travolta, to paraphrase Billy Joel, 'is always a sweathog to me'
Ответитьthey are forgotten cause they suck!
ОтветитьI would have preferred to hear more of the songs than your constant talking.
ОтветитьTHIS WAS AWESOME...
SOOOO, NOW DO A VIDEO WITH THE FULL LENGTH OF THESE SONGS..IT WOULD BE A KOOL PLAYLIST BLAST OF THE PAST😅
Plasts from the past!!!
ОтветитьGood list but was hoping to see The Mamas and the Papas and Jim Croce since they are in the thumbnail. Also Jerry Lee Lewis did pass away earlier this year. But I'm a big Turtles fan so always fun to see Howard and the gang!
ОтветитьI don’t know about you but if you listen to oldies radio stations you hear most of these songs.
ОтветитьRe: Redbone: They also made some controversial songs at the time, like "Custer Had It Coming." This rubbed many in the radio community the wrong way.
ОтветитьErr...I think this channel may be confused. I mean, it's called "Do You Remember?" but then the title of this video tells us that "Oh no. You FORGOT!".
Well, I didn't fucking forget. And anyone who doesn't remember these songs is either a Zoomer or a moron. They're CLASSICS for a reason.
In my opinion, it doesn’t make sense to offer 95% of talk and barely 5% of music.
ОтветитьYou can take U2, Stevie Winwood and Bruce Springsteen and shove them where the sun don’t shine! They all were and are still over played and imo trash! And while you are at it take the over rated Beetles too!
Your list was horrible because all of the ones I mentioned get played way too much then and now. I wish they all had been forgotten and not played anymore that would be great!
The Pet Shop Boys “West End Girls” is one that always drew me, and one that back then got a LOT of airtime.
ОтветитьThe mistake here is that these songs are played regularly by people who grew up in that era . There aren’t many “ classic rock “ channels these days that regularly play those hits.
ОтветитьYou've masterfully captured the essence of the 1960s Hollywood era, allowing us to witness the profound transformations of these actors within the narrative.
Ответитьdid you really show a picture of Kenny Rogers with Kenny Loggins, lol
ОтветитьSorry, dude. The Killing Moon? Can’t believe that a song I’ve never heard could have ever been #1.
ОтветитьThe one band I used to love from the 80s, and they had several great hits, but you never hear them now is, The Thompson Twins, I loved, Doctor Doctor, Love on your side, and my fav, Hold Me Now. Fantastic 80s sounds.
ОтветитьYou are right on about Bono. What a pompous ass he turned out to be! On the other hand I have every single one of these songs on disc or vinyl. Yeah I’m that old. Thanks for the reminder to dig them out and rock on!
ОтветитьNo comparison to ELO.
ОтветитьBOWIE was an asshole, except Under Pressure and China Girl.
ОтветитьRedbone to Injun crap
ОтветитьYou sound like an uninformed nerd. These songs are not forgotten.
ОтветитьJerry Lee Lewis is deceased as of oct 28 2022
ОтветитьLink Ray
ОтветитьMany thanks, I loved it!
ОтветитьGreat songs to hear as an old man a decade & more over 60 years plus. These old songs bring about a lot of good old memories.
ОтветитьTerrible play list. These Boots? Disgusting. Weak list.
ОтветитьI remember most of these songs, except those from the 1950s before my time. I was born in 1960. In my early 20s, I fondly recall hearing Modern English's "I Melt with You" played during the intimate dance scene between Nicolas Cage and Deborah Foreman in the 1983 movie Valley Girl. They don’t make music like that anymore.
—from Thomas Lincoln Pilling
The 80's had the best songs EVER..Great High School memories!!
ОтветитьThe Platters!
ОтветитьExcept for the Beatles and the animals these where all lame
@ss songs!
errr, Jerry Lee Lewis died last year.....
There are so many songs that could be added...
Alone Again, Naturally - Gilbert O'Sullivan (70's)
Just about anything by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers(50's)
Devil Woman - Cliff Richard (70's)
Shame, Shame, Shame - Shirley & Company (70's)
Creeque Alley - The Mamas & The Papas. (60's)
Jimmy Loves Maryann - Looking Glass (Of Brandy You're A Fine Girl fame) (70's)
At My Front Door - The Eldorados (50's)
More Love - Kim Carnes (1980) [Betty Davis Eyes gets all the press, no one seems to remember More Love, but it was better, IMO]
Jerry Lee Lewis actually died last year in October.
ОтветитьMAYBE MY PARENTS WOULDN'T AGREE, BUT I THINK SOME OF THESE TRAIN WRECKS ARE UNAWESOME
ОтветитьJEEZUZ shut up and lets hear the songs
ОтветитьAlmost all of these are on my iPod. A lot of great music.
ОтветитьThere is a music tour by oldies groups called Happy Together every year
ОтветитьDoes anyone know who the woman in the thumbnail Is (the one that isn't mama cass?)
ОтветитьCrazy Horses by The Osmonds
Ответить
