ОтветитьJust started my 30 days 3 days ago. I didn't do the 2 week prep, as I am never good at starting slow on stuff. Full speed, from the get-go, is how I roll. 16/8 is what I'm doing so far....I'm doing it!! The first day, it took 3 hours to get from 0845 to 0900 before I could eat! 😁
I am 53. No menstrual cycle...been on Merena for 8 years. Hoping to lose more weight. down about 25. around 50 to go to my goal! I've been in a stall on weight loss for a few weeks. So ready to get past this stall, and lose more, and feel better, sleep better, and get rid of inflammation.

ОтветитьI work at night 6pm- 4:30am. I'm not sure when to fast. You spoke of eating when there is light, but I don't get much of it when I work at night. Please help.
ОтветитьHuberman says that you can't sit behind a window to get your morning sun for the purpose of coordinating your body functions to the circadian rhythm; he says that it has to be direct sunlight, no window. However, he is totally with you with the idea of getting morning sun to set the circadian rhythm. Huberman also says that what wakes you up in the morning is cortesol while you say it comes two hours after waking. I am not sure how much this matters since the recommendation is the same: don't have coffee until you have used up all the melatonin that is in your blood, or about two hours after waking have your first cup of coffee. If you have the coffee right away when you wake up, and I am with you when you say it is hard not having a cup of java first thing in the morning while checking messages on the iphone, then Huberman says that when the effect of the coffee wears off you will be hit with the melatonin from the morning which you didn't use up when you woke up. He is in agreement with you on the exercise in the morning too as well as laying off the food until about midday. Same recommendations, slightly different justifications for them.

ОтветитьMy eating period is 2pm-8pm. I’ve only been doing it about 10 days. I’ve lost weight easily. I don’t have the insane cravings i used to. I feel so free. It’s so easy and I feel so much better. Thank you so much for the great info.
ОтветитьKids family and work. I suppose if you have none of these things , live by yourself and don't work in the morning we could do this but most can't do this most of this, moving your coffee yes, waiting 2 hours chillin after sunrise no but thanks it's helpful to know
ОтветитьI have a question about circadian rhythm - I love the idea of it, but what if you’re a mixed shift worker? I’m a flight attendant so my mornings are always at different times - even sometimes having to switch my sleep schedule to sleep during the day and be awake at night… sometimes even having to skip sleeping all together. It changes constantly! Wondering if the red light would work for this? Or if you have any tips on what would help? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьHow is your circadian rhythm affected when you are a person that works shift work, rotating day and night shifts of 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. My shift work has me off a couple days in between these rotating shifts.
