Inshore Fishing the Grass Flats at Eglin AFB, Florida

While on vacation in Florida I went out into the bay at Eglin AFB to see what I could catch on my kayak. I had never been inshore fishing before so I did know what to expect. Armed with just some plastic swim baits and a few twitch baits we gave it a shot. There was several speckled sea trout feeding but nothing with any size. After the feeding frenzy stopped I headed into a backwater lake to give it a try and caught my first redfish. The vacation to Florida was awesome, so many new types of fishing that I tried and had a blast!
