Well if you look into the construction of the most strategic Jaoanese aircraft during the WW2 , it was basically an aircraft good to capture small asian countries like the Phillipines , Indonesia etc... It had a body made up of a thin sheet of metal. So naturally the Japanese thought that they were prepared for the attack. However they lost more soldiers and war logistics during the American counter attack. It was indeed poor planning by the Japanese govt of that time.

I watched a series on the History Vault channel yesterday - Battle 360º - Anyone seen it? I want to know if that pride in our country and military still exists. WWII was bloody - Would we have that pride again to combat our enemies like they did? I hope so! I can't tell you how many times I've watched this series!! And I still cry!! God bless our military and their families. My brother was on the next USS Enterprise - Vietnam. and I have the ship year book! But listening to the WWII veterans - My gosh what a generation!!

in my country, US is known for their cowardice. they joined lately in world war 2, when almost all countries involved had been suffering a lot. and most of US strategy is just carpet bombing. they wouldn't be brave enough to fight face to face like a true warriors. but even then, some of their soldiers did show their bravery. all I'm saying is, US's commanders are just cowards sitting behind their desk. even now, look at Russia-Ukraine war, where are they ? they just too scared to face off Russia, and wait till Russia being weak enough, and then they will come as a savior (read:fake savior/coward)
