Great video, and an interesting theme.
ОтветитьIf the windscreen needs replacing, take it out 1st. Fit new dash then put it back. Makes it's a lot easier
ОтветитьNice mk8 golf r in background 😊
ОтветитьCall it "FANNY"
Ответитьthe first 30 secs definitely something that i never know that i need. great video as usual, dean !
ОтветитьTo maximise a return on the parts car it would be better that you completely strip it and sell off the engine, gearbox, wheels ect yourself.
ОтветитьIn many places, halfing cars to make one good one is actually against the law. The term we had in Quebec for it, as an example, was "making a box". You just couldn't do it and get away with it. If both cars are marked as rebuildable salvage, you would have to show where all the parts came from, and when you get to showing chipping a car in half, well, the game is over and the car is marked for scrap.
Ответитьex-pat here in Canada, been watching since, well, close to the beginning I think. Really great to see how your videos get better and better with each one (as someone who makes videos for a living I give you mad respect for the work involved), And as a fan of VW and Audi cars, it's great to see you working on what we can't get over here, and makes me look forward to coming back there to visit family :)
ОтветитьCouldn't you use the spare engine in the Octavia that you took the rs3 engine back out of
Ответить...come on tell us the secret: what is it with you and the containers?!?
ОтветитьLove the work, I think you need a partner to help you with some bits though!
ОтветитьCongrats on 200k subscribers Dean! Really great to see your channel growing. You are pushing out some great content thank you!
ОтветитьI once removed the dash of my old 2018 S3, while there is a lot of information online, since those are quite common cars with tons of fans, it was still a pain in the ass lol.
ОтветитьMate what a mare, are you now on prozac😢
ОтветитьWell done Dean….now that you are a fully experienced dashboard mechanic, some advice! If anybody asks you to replace the heater fan control valve on a Citroen C5 Exclusive then run away fast…it is an utter nightmare and men have grown old doing it. The design of that models aircon is such that you can see the dead valve and undo two of the bolts but the two more are buried under the alloy pipe work and firewall struts…you remove the entire dashboard to get any chance to undo the bolts and remove the valve. It took my Citroen dealers a week of hard work to get it all back up and running…they showed me the job half way through..what a mess! Good luck with getting yours back and working! 😀😀😀😀😀
ОтветитьArsehole sounds SO MUCH BETTER than asshole! 😊
Ответитьwhats the ID4 doing in the back ground ?
ОтветитьThe sigh of relief after a torturous dash removal then the realisation of doing it all again....carefully....ARGGGGH!!!
ОтветитьThis is going to be a interesting series
ОтветитьLove the videos, congrats on 200k. If you add the Mk3 TT dash repair in description, will it give you more hits?
ОтветитьThis is absolutely brilliant. Definitely picked the right car to make good. Dont envy you though with having to do a dash removal for a second time 😂 . I will be following this build closely . Keep up the awesome content 👍
ОтветитьStill don’t know why manufacturers don’t make a separate panel for passenger airbags, spare parts vehicle is always way forward if price is right, plenty parts afterwards
ОтветитьMan said minor rear end 😂😂😂 the rear ender is mangled to hell 🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьLoving this one! Get your windscreen man to remove the good windscreen from the donor and fit into the good car. Will save you a few quid!
ОтветитьHahaha lmfao lol 😂. Love it mate
ОтветитьDon't you think dashboards nowadays are made to be remove with the metal support bar and disconnect the main connection down?
ОтветитьProbably worth more in parts 👍. Like this one Dean, something a bit different
Ответитьi would repair the one with the rear damage
ОтветитьWatching video's on U-Tube is becoming impossible as their add servers can not keep up resulting in endless spinning circle. 😡
Ответитьnice one dean
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьHey
Love your video great idea
However how about just telling us when you are actually lying
And not keep saying “to be truthful or honest “ we can assume you’re telling the truth unless you say your “lying “
Just makes things clearer
😅
Again cheers 🎉
Best wishes always from Las Vegas craig
I’m a Neww fan ☮️🥰💡📣
Love the content
ОтветитьCongratulations on the 200k subs Dean cracking channel & content I watched you from the start. Keep up the hard work buddy 💪
ОтветитьCrazy to see these for their price, I live in Aus, repairable write offs arent a thing here, its not legal other than a few loopholes, they cost anywhere from 40k to 60k Australian, literally 20-30 thousand pound equivalent for an average mileage example
ОтветитьAwesome episode .. love these rebuilds thankyou..
Ответитьjesus mate. how the hell do you remember where everything goes ? hats off to you 👍
Ответить200,000 subs well done🎉🎉,
Great project you have here too
Why don’t you use the extra 2.0 engine to fix the white Škoda Octavia?
ОтветитьI personally would of preferred to repair the rear end damage, most of that damage would of pulled out on a jig, even replacing the boot floor isn't a big deal. ....without the hassle of changing over all the interior/ front end parts and then selling the donor car. ....less outlay too.
Good luck with the repair tho Dean. 👍
Well done with novel idea for the video
ОтветитьA rear-end collision can trigger all the seatbelts to lock, even if no one is seated there.
ОтветитьGood choice buying the diner car saved yourself small fortune 👍🏽
Ответитьi think it might of been stop start the 1st time you started the car as the needle only gone to Ready
ОтветитьI'll definitely fix both
Ответитьاللهم صل و سلم على سيدنا محمد
ياربي انصر اخواننا بفلسطين
personally, i find kinda surprising someone just sold away for scrap a running and fixable car like the first one.
the other one, while being more expensive, to me, looks much, much harder to fix and there's a lot of bended metal
Nice, love a TT especially MK3. The parts car for £4300 was a bargain!
