The scaling tests should always include AMD gpus since they bottleneck the cpu less.

5600 draws ofc 50% more power than 12400 ;)

I just got a gigabyte Autos elite V2 with a Ryzen 5600g and 16gb ddr4 for 240 euros. I know it's older stuff but I am coming from a 3770 that I used for 10 years. The equivalent i5 was 350 euros

the usual AMD using big cache as crutch to gain performance occasionally. they just can't seem to beat intel's IPC anymore. is the 5000(7nm) vs comet lake(14nm) a one off. intel have to stagnate again for FOUR years for AMD to catch up lol

pcie 4.0 and 5.0 its important for gamers? or just functional for coding and 3D graphic

We honestly need more of this. So tired of constant high end GPU's with odd CPU pairings. These scaling benchmarks are incredibly important to us. Using a high end GPU on similar setups can be misleading and doesn't make any real world sense.

So Ryzen 5600 + Radeon 6600xt must be a perfect match.

Here in asia, 12400f price is 214usd while 5600 is only 150 usd. and you can get around 130usd for tray type for it. Look how much you can save for 5 or 10 fps difference that you wont even notice.

Well, so , where i live .the I5 12400f costs 160 € when i got a deal of new r5 5600 with only 70 € + 5 shipping . Imagen , even without that deal the price of 5600 is less than i5 12400f here ( around 112 € ) ( dont know why ). Anyways , Both will do the same on my system as i'm using rx 6600 xt . So for me clearly R5 5600 is way better option . Nice video btw . Thanks .

In short if you have a 3070 and below don't bother with intel

most online gamers are budgeted (csgo valo pubg dota lol) can you scale 3060/ti, 66/50xt, like we've seen that 12400/3600 can push 3090ti but how can 3060/ti, 66/50xt push by like 12100 5500 3100 3500x 1100f

Would the r5 5600 be delivering sufficient performance for the rx6800?

At least where I live the 5600 is much cheaper than 12400f (about 50€ cheaper currently) and the AM4 motherboards are also cheaper than intel variants. And considering there is practically no difference in fps with 3070 level of GPU performance I would say the 5600 is by far the better choice.

This days R5 5600 cost 155€ and i5 12400f around 200€ in Europe. When you include cheaper motherboard for AMD winner is obvius

Thanks for your review, for me in uk i can find ryzen5 5600 over 20 dollars cheaper, and i going budget on gpu so i can save some money on cpu as i wouldnt see a diference with budget gpu also with amd motherboard for same price as intel boards i get a much better chipset!

Just got a 5600 for TWD.4800 (about USD.160), and a B550-a pro for TWD.2200 (about USD. 73)
The performance is so great for the price.

Steve forgot that there is also a B450 option available. Which is usually cheaper than B550 motherboards.

Upgraded from a 3600 to a 5600, it has much better 1% lows in standard pc games and much, much better emulation performance.

there is 4 different versions of the 5600
5600x being the fastest

i prefer this gpu scaling for cpu as they have more practical combinations
