I just bought a propane tank, ignitor is working but doesn’t seem to be getting any gas. Everything seems to be set up correctly
ОтветитьI know it's later than later, but thank you so much for showing me. I'm a engineer but I just couldn't fix it
ОтветитьDo u have an email address? I have a video of the problem i am having, got spark, gas flow, won't light with igniter, but did with a lighter, won't stay lit tho, flame is not coming out of where it should.
ОтветитьWhat about if the ignitor turns on but it’s not setting everything on fire. The ignitor only has has a flame but after few seconds it turns off. What should I do?
ОтветитьWhat size and style of butt connector is that? 16-14?
ОтветитьExcellent video. Went in completely clueless trying to make my fireplace work to having learned a lot in a short few minutes and on top of that save myself hundreds of dollars. Tyvm!
ОтветитьOur gas company installed it for us. Gets the room warm fast.
Ответитьwhat connector is he using?cant seem to find that one.
ОтветитьPilot is sparking but will not light up
ОтветитьAdam, the pilot of my fireplace is easy to light-up, but then it doesn't open the gas valve, so...the fireplace only has the pilot on, and it doesn't heat the room. Any suggestion? Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you Adam, what a great video!
ОтветитьI need to hire someone to do the work? Who should I ask? Plumber electrician
Ответитьan extremely helpful and well done video
ОтветитьVERY GOOD OVERVIEW OF HOW TO START YOUR GAS FIREPLACE
ОтветитьI'm not getting gas it's arking
ОтветитьI don't get any gas coming thru please help?
ОтветитьHi, I have a similar gas valve. The pilot is blue stays on no problem. But when I call for the main burner to come on it won't. The thermopile voltage is around 580mv open circuit and about 360mv closed circuit. Is it a bad gas valve? Thanks
ОтветитьMine doesn’t seem to be getting any gas flow to it
ОтветитьHow do I, for my gas fireplace, get this direct vent FP, get this thang going again?
ОтветитьAdam: we have a battery pack 3V igniter. Used to spark orange now sparking blue and doesn't light the flame. We do not use a pilot flame, just manual start with wall switch.
ОтветитьThis little video with a great help thank you
ОтветитьThis video is godsent. Apparently the pilot ignitor doodad came loose from the wire and I had to reattach it.
Saved me so much money not having to call someone to fix it.
Archer log fire leaks water
Ответитьawe
well done thank you
Great guy!
ОтветитьThank you! I was definitely concerned about how expensive it would be. You explained how the system works, so I was able to understand the steps and what to be looking for.
ОтветитьHi Adam....Thanks for this great video....Hope you're still checking comments because I have challenge with my fireplace. We've installed a wall switch that essentially sparks the pilot light in a way that the pilot light area ignites the file logs ....This has been fine for 20+ years now, but the wall switch seems to be failing. It often takes 2 or 3 flips of the wall switch to kick off an actual fire log file "as we know it"......Is the wall switch just a standard electric switch ? Or is the wall switch some type of piezo device that needs a piezo guru to diagnose ?? I can change a wall switch but am in an unknown area with this...Please advise...
Thanks,
Dr. Clikk
So I cleaned thermocouple etc and was able to get pilot light to come on.... after a few minutes additional fire comes on underneath Pilot but when I let go of pilot button in order to turn to on it goes off.... thanks for video and any help!
ОтветитьThank u. U just saved me lot of money in repairs. It was just my pilot that was off. I followed the instructions and all worked out. I even realized that the glass was dirty and cleaned it. Looks brand new now. Thank u
ОтветитьThis help me so much I hired 2 ppl and they could not fix
ОтветитьI have the same model as you, my pilot is on but no fire comes out when flipping the wall switch, so what is the problem here?
ОтветитьThere is a black box says remote on it and I don’t have a remote. Which position should I put it in? Thanks.
ОтветитьThank you ! It worked !!!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьGreat video thanks. Just a quick note. When crimping the connector onto the wire, squeeze the connector between the two plier handles. You’ll get a much better crimp.
ОтветитьGreat video! Your is the best that I watched!
ОтветитьHi
My fire place pilot works perfect and it's on but when I turn the knobe to on nothing happens
And I can't hear the gas coming
If you turn the gas on but you cannot smell it, then it's a different problem not covered in this video. (Wish it was for completeness)
If you can smell the gas, that's working. Awesome. Turn the gas off and checkout this video and ensure that pilot light is sparking properly.
When both work (gas and fire), then everything works !!
Hi, I thank you for your videos and helping out. I have a gas Lennox fireplace. We just bought this house. The pilot lights up and stays on, we changed the thermopile so it is new. The main burner is not lighting up. I bypassed the wall switch it doesn't work but when I bypass the gas valve circuits using a paperclip, it will stay on as long as I have the paperclip there. I don't know how to fix that. I will apricate any help I can get!!
ОтветитьMy old fireplace isn't turning on and I don't know how to do it. please help me out.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThanks! Novice fireplace guy (yours truly) forgot to push the pilot light button in.
ОтветитьI have a very old gas fire (1983) which has a piezo igniter but no thermo-couple device. It sparks fine but will rarely light. I have changed the peizo but its the same. I have cleaned and altered the spark gap and it will sometimes work a few times (days) but then it gets difficult again. I light it with a sperate gas lighter and it catches well every time. I am at a loss with this and my mind whirls as I wonder if this spark is made weak by a HT leakage? However it looks OK if the white colour is OK for the spark? When it is lit I can see the gas all around the spark discharge points. It makes no sense to me at all. I find myself wondering if this is a critical gas/air mixture that's not quite right? If so why would that be? It reminds me of an old Ford car... that's a very bad starter!
Any help with this would be most welcome. It makes no sense to me. Rgds BerryG
Mine is a ipi… it clicks but no spark. What do I do now… please help??
ОтветитьI was twisting the igniter button off and I found a battery in it !…. Awesome I just needed a battery
ОтветитьMan I bought this house and couldn’t figure out how to ignite my gas fireplace…I did all steps leaving out the key step, which was to push in and HOLD the pilot while trying to ignite…lol, you are kind of a life saver bro! Thank you.
ОтветитьMy fireplace tuned off by itself and I tried to lit it on but failed. My igniter sparks but pilot won't lit. What's the problem do you think? Thank you
ОтветитьWell done. Thanks for this short, consice, and to the point video.
ОтветитьHello, thanks for sharing, I have different issue, my fireplace is fully o automatic, with a remote, so the problem I have is the fireplace very often won’t light up, ignitor works fine, and then valve supposed to open lighting up the fireplace, but it’s not happening most of the time, so it’s waiting, and after 20-30 sec it’ shuts off, then, after couple minutes it tries to do the same, itself, it getting signal from remote where thermo sensor seats, so it’s trying, if no success (most of a time), shuts off again, and it does this trying 3 times, if no success kits shuts off,
What should I do?
Thanks in advance
We are dealing with this issue in our, new to us, home. I'm guessing your vid here will help solve the issue. Thank you...
