FYI - the recipe on the website calls for 1 teaspoon of salt which is WAY TOO SALTY! we're now doubling the whole recipe to make up for it 😅 the standard recipe should list the more conservative amount of salt - only 1/2 teaspoon - that you said in the video, NOT the optional really salty version as the default. Please fix this John and/or John's team! 😅

ОтветитьThis isn’t always mentioned, but your pancakes will taste better if you use a baking powder without aluminum. I use the Argo brand. 😊

I made this recipe this weekend. I added chopped jalapeno to the batter. I know that might seem crazy but the spice just works with the savory and sweetness of pancakes.

ОтветитьDid he ever explain that "room temperature" requirement? I listened twice, and didn't hear it. Unless you're expecting something to happen before you pour the batter in the pan, it seems to me like it's going to shoot through "room temperature" pretty quick as it cooks anyway.
