People saying "I could tell because of your chin" are absolutely lying to themselves and just trying to find a way to prove to themselves that they are always able to tell who's trans and who isn't. These kinds of people will latch onto everything to be able to "tell" - all after finding out you're trans, of course, because they couldn't actually tell.

Because hell, you pass so fucking well, it kind of makes me envious, even though I'm NB.

I don't know how I managed to come out of years and years of dysphoria and on the other side I now have actual self-esteem and actually know I'm attractive as a girl, I haven't even started my HTR. I mean I've been at a low T level for a while now and naturally high E, and it has been changing things for the better. Maybe it's because I notice the changes now, maybe it's because I was so massively dysphoric before and am so happy and euphoric now, but even after the honeymoon period, I only because more happy and more natural feeling and more sure that this was the only RIGHT thing I've ever felt in my life. Maybe it's because I've never thought of that stereotypical and extremely unrealistic standard of beauty as anything more than what it actually is, a fucking lie. You can't take less than 1% of the population and tell everyone else (women) that they HAVE to look that way in order to be attractive. That's not how attractiveness works. My first GF I ever loved, I witnessed her getting more and more and more physically attractive in real time over like 15 minutes. It was like 2 days after we started dating and she is literally getting hotter and hotter before my very eyes. Until she's the hottest person I've ever seen, actually. THIS is how REAL attractiveness works. It is so unhealthy for us to think that we should look like someone else, that we should all look the same, and I know I want to look that way but that's because I have gender dysphoria. Anyone can find ANYONE attractive for ANY reason. This is why I always would tell all the GFs I've had (all turned out to be Bisexual btw for obvious reasons lol), that their imperfections are what make them most attractive to me. But NOPE as soon as I even said the world "imperfections" they got extremely hurt. Women are so fucking mentally violated by cosmetics and magazines companies who are owned by old white cismen who neg the shit out of them and destroy their self-esteem and self-worth so that they buy their shitty make up which is cheap AF to produce, but they mark it up hundreds of times because they coerced women to buy it in order for them to think of themselves as attractive. It goes without saying I know. It's obvious. But it needs to be said out loud more than once-in-a-while. I know I'm attractive as a woman. I'm proud of it. I'm so happy about it. And I haven't even started HRT! I'm so excited for my transformation! There's no where I'll end up that I know I won't love! I cannot wait to make a very special and beautiful transwoman the luckiest woman in the world! lolol

I feel you with these people noticing the unique features of your face! I could compare it to my ability to play guitars, because maaaaany people looked at me like ''oh, you playing metal? Isn't that a manly thing? Why don't you play folk-indie? How can be you a woman while playing that??''....and also to my height, 1,79 mts, but in my family we are a lot of tall ones!

Holy!! I can play pretty technical metal & more stuff and I'm really good at it, because I practiced the SH!T out of it, with a metronome, for 3 decades, sometimes 8-10 hours a day 😂😂
Sometimes I had to stop for a week because of the strict practicing regime (tendinitis, helloooo).

Thank you sistah you rock!

The only thing I don’t like about this I guess interview questionnaire, answering without question. Just informative video is the approach that this individual is taking very rude just cause people are rude to you doesn’t mean you have to be rude back you as a human being should take the highroad, regardless of the situation anybody should regardless of life choices, keep that in mind that also goes along way

Hi Robin. I just saw your video now….two years after you made it. A little bit of context… I’m a 67yo Irish man and my advice to you is keep doing what you’re doing cos you’re good at it and you are a very pretty young woman and obviously very smart and full of empathy and kindness. Be proud girl and let me tell you your chin is lovely so cherish it and yourself. Well done. Your courage amazes me. Take care.

i mean, they're gonna not talk about it if I pass. Yeah its stupid but this is the world we live in and pretending like passing is just "some thing you don't have to worry about" is extremely naive. We do have to worry about it because it directly transfers to our everyday life, how safe we are and how much we can operate as our gender irl. I will never ever go into a womens bathroom because I know I will never pass enough, and thats just something I will have to deal with. I'm not comparing that to anyone else, but it still makes me extremely unhappy and like I'm an impostor. Cis women will never see me as a woman, theyll always see me as a "trans" woman. I know my sisters love me and want whats best for me, but I can tell they compartmentalise me and put me in a different box. I'm their "trans" sister, not just their sister. I'll forvever be a freak that will get looks, one big reason I only dress in comfy clothes beacuse otherwise I just feel like a clown and get looks everywhere I go.

Please can you pretty trans girls that mostly pass stop telling me that passing isn't important? It is, and not just for my self image, mostly for my safety. I only have other trans women on my side (and even then, only sometimes) so don't make me feel dumb for wanting to be safe and secure while wearing a skirt.

Not comparing yourself to other trans peeps is the most important advice, and also the most difficult. Every time I let my mind do that I go straight into the darkest thoughts I have. I have been waiting for HRT for 6 years now. All this time that I will never get back, growing the wrong way. So seeing someone younger or the same age be more passing just kills me. Comparison is the enemy of joy yes, and the enemy of gender euphoria.

I hate the term "cis", too many people use it like a slur or an insult.

My advice to my younger self would be; It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. All that matters is your happiness and peace of mind. Don't waste one second past your 18th birthday to start your transition. I wasted twelve more years, living a lie, scared to death of how others would perceive who I really was. There is no hate the world can heap on you that is not eclipsed by the satisfaction of living true to yourself;)

How often do you ask "why me?". Two of my cousins are Lesbians and I am Transfeminine. Probably too often I asked why did it have to be me. For some reasons it what my Mom's side of the family that is responsible for the LGBTQ in the family. I think it is tied to hormone resistance issues.

You are encouraging me to start presenting myself in a more feminine way. Before Covid I was presenting with bras and breasts, skirts and headbands, etc. Pretty cologne. I need to start using my pretty scents once again and dress in a more fem boy style. I think I can figure out the genitals on my own. There are three basic choices, penis and scrotum with testes, vulva and vagina, penis with empty scrotum due to Orchiectomy. You are so wonderfully CIS.

What the hecc? I'm a woman (sorta, nonbinary but you know), and I swear 90% of women I know don't look as conventionally pretty as you.
People have chins, noses, different facial shapes, and that's a good thing. Your chin didn't stand out to me before you pointed it out, and then it only stood out to me as: ....WHY?
Like, okay. I grew up on tomb raider and point and click games. People used to love Lara Croft, or Nicole - like, strong willed ladies with deeper voices and strong cheekbones and chins. Where did that go?
And who nitpicks on a chin? This is so confusing.
What beauty standards are you all being held up against??? It sounds crazy to judge this much by looks, no one should have to pass as anything other than themselves

You look like a woman, you sound like a woman. The genitals of the other people in a locker room or bathroom or in public are none of my business regardless of innie or outie status. My CIS wife has a stronger chin than you do. There are people in videos that I guessed are trans, but I wouldn't have guessed you are. And I have seen CIS women that I suspected were trans and I just was completely wrong. Not that it should really matter. Also not that my comment matters much 3+ years later.

I have cis women friends who have endured the endlesss jokes about their faces looking like a banana because of their huge long chins.
we just need to respect each other. Some people just have this endless program running in their heads: "she's still a.... he's still a..." endlessly, it runs.
I have a trans friend. And for me, really, once you talk with her a long time, I FORGET she's trans. I just treat her like any other woman I speak to. I notice that about myself. It just becomes natural when you're not always thinking as a bigot with their programming.

When I talk to my trans friend, I just act normally, really.

If you're 18 or older, you're not a girl, you're a woman. It took me a long while to figure that out. I used to call myself a girl all the time too. But yeah, I didn't start HRT until I was 22, and I'm very happy with how I look and sound. Hell, I looked and sounded like a woman before I started hormones. And you don't look that bad, either. And I may be quite tall too, but I still think I pass if you just ignore that. And I definitely don't "Internalize" misoginy or transphobia. I've completely accepted myself for who I am and what I wanna do. And I'm just like, if people don't accept me, then that's their problem. I'm all for being trans, and that's OK.

I have some advice for transwomen.

- don't blow into cartridge games. This only "works" because moisture in your breath temporary aids conductivity, as soon as it evaporates, the effect is gone, and corrosion begins. The accumulation of corrosion on contacts is hard and can't be blown away. Instead, clean the contacts with 91% isopropyl alcohol on Q-tips.

- pull-through sharpeners are garbage. Get a simple two-sided whetstone, and a ceramic hone. Focus on consistency over specific angle and technique. Finish with the hone. Make sure the hone doesn't tap or hit the blade or it can chip it.

- 5e isn't nearly as simplified or streamlined as people tell you; in fact, every edition prior to the WotC takeover is much easier. 1981's B/X is the easiest edition for beginners, by far, and has been reissued in a generic copyright free form as "old school essentials" aka OSE.

- the dangers of burning pine are overstated. Your chimney will require more frequent cleanings, but that's about it. Pine burns quick and hot, but that's ok.
