The Best and Worst Mousepads I've Tried

I get a cheap mousepad that isn't the worst. Get 2 of them, and then wash them in the washer every once in a while.
Probably not the best for the pads, but im a cheapskate and they would probably end up in the trash otherwise

I've come up with a foam/sponge rubber desk mat that turned out to be very comfortable and fairly mouse compatible, more like moderate sensitivity. Been using it for 3 years personally and my friends, so far it's been great so I've made a whole batch of them, it's called Fusionstrike Limestone Desk Mat if anyone interested getting one (currently ship within UK but could sort out international shipment too). The rubber is made from sustainable limestone rock instead of oil/petrol which makes it more environmentally friendly than most desk mats out there. It's laminated with super stretch smooth nylon so it's easier to clean it than most cloth mats.

Old video, but my tip for cleaning a mousepad is simple (but requires you to have a backup). I have a desk pad which gets nasty over time since I do eat at my desk as well as have dandruff which clogs it up over time. Just put your pad in your tub and soak it, then use some dish soap and the soft side of a sponge to clean it. Rinse and repeat 2~3x times until it washes out clean. Rack dry it for a day. After that you pretty much have a brand new pad both in look and feel.

Its low friction makes micro adjustments effortless, yet it provides enough control when you make bigger movements. I own mine for three years and it's still in great condition.

also having some OCD, and I honestly never heard of slow or fast pads, so with my older pad I just thought it was getting worn, but when I washed it thoroughly (washing mashine, since this one was used without cleaning for... very long :D ), it feels smooth when using it, but noticeably slower than my newer mouse pad (both are XL, so they also go under keyboard, and protect the desk; this newer one is Diablo IV Lilith and Inarius, dunno the exact manufacturer, but it is licensed by Blizzard)... so now I am watching your video, and I am thinking, damn, I had that almost two day anxiety period over those for... nothing :(

so I guess both are good, and will be using both depending on games/what I do :) and might probably get another one that is faster... any recommendations? or if you have any experiences with these - Razer Gigantus, Corsair MM350, Roccat Speed Icon and such :) the two I mentioned are kinda ok, but I would really like sth of very high quality to use... my mouse is G502 Hero, with the original skates still going strong after the whole covid period (I got it at the very start of the pandemic here)
