I want to study abroad in Finland! This time next year I should be there!!
ОтветитьNice video fellow Tut.
ОтветитьMy experiences of being an international student in Finland (Oulu University):
+ Easy to get a student appartment, cheap and healthy school lunch, many student-activities, free to study for EU citizens, less pressure to be social, "work hard" mentality, safe place to live, very environmentally progressed, beautiful nature!
- Communication issues with customer services & health care (the public sector seems to have lower english skills than other nordic countries), low chances of working extra during studies for non-finnish speakers. Not as open-minded culture when it comes to communication and improving how things can work better than they do. Feeling of less power to make a difference in the university-world. Stronger sense of gender roles between women and men. Less possibilities to integrate smoothly into the society compared to other Nordic countries (I used to live in Norway and Sweden).
Edit: This is an honest review of my experience, not trying to sugar-coat anything. Some things were lovely in Finland, but I wish I knew these particular things before I moved. It did not fit me personally, so I changed my study-place and country. That absolutely doesnt mean that you guys will have the same experience. Try it and see how i fits you!:) All the love!
Hey you doing such a great work it’s really helpful for people like us.If you can give your personal view on whether to choice from Finland or Denmark for studies and job that would be really helpful
Thank you
Much love from India 🇮🇳

ОтветитьHi Aleksi! 🙂
Thanks a lot for this video. Very helpful to me and to those who also wanted to study in Finland.
Thanks Aleksi! This video is a great help! :)
ОтветитьFinnish students are emberreasing. They have it good here and still complaining all time. They don't realize how good they have it here because they get everything for free so they don't appreciate what they get. Finnish students should be ashamed of themselves!
ОтветитьExcellent information, kiitos Aleksi!!
