Soldier, which is part of the Alien/Blade Runner universe. An absolute classic movie.

Good films all, have watched them all and have a few in my DVD collection.
There are more Sci-Fi Movie Gems from the 80's as well such as the Vindicator and Eliminators (Denise Crosby) from 1986 and steel dawn (Patrick Swayze)1987 and of course Arthur C. Clarke's 2010 Odyssey two, maybe not as hidden but definitely a gem.

born in 62 i've seen all of those sf movies,and i love them all,granted they cant compete with todays special effects,but the storylines were better then compared to some if not all of the NEW generation of movies,being it sf,horror,drama,etc
parasite with young demi more was also something special

What a piece of sh*t selection. Ratings in RT:
Wing Commander: 10%
Virus: Didn't bother to rate (DBR);
Soldier: DBR;
Space Truckers: DBR
Hardware: 46%
Tank Girl: 41%
No Escape: 57%
Fire in the Sky: 48%
Fortress: 38%
Moon 44: 0%!!!!!!!
Robot Jox: 40%
Nome of this is a fresh pick, not even by far.

Another thing that makes Virus great is that the title doesn't refer to what you would most likely think it does.

Since a couple more movies have come out with the title No Escape, it's made this one harder to find, which is a shame.

The only thing I remember about No Escape, was it had Ray Liota and the guy falls on some spikes at the end, it was the first movie my dad watched with his new VCR with slow motion, he watched that scene over and over for an hour, absolutely amazed at the brand new technology, it'll never get more high tech than that

The casting was terrible for Wing Commander, it's more enjoyable watching the cut scenes from Wing Commander 3, there are bigger named actors in the game.

Tank Girl was boring, no doubt Lori Petty did the best given the script.

And Robot Jox was just Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots.

The rest are a great watch 👍🏻

You guys seem the ones to ask this question too. When I was a kid I watched a movie where a robot came out of the ground like Robot Jax but it came out of the ground from under a gas station and they talk about a future either the American southwest was bought by Japan or America was at war with Japan. That's all I remember about it.

Wing Commander - the enemies are called The Kilrathi, not Kilrathians. The Empire of Kilrah is an interstellar entity controlled by the Kilrathi. Do some research before your videos 'Marevlous Videos'.
Robot Jox was called Robojox in the UK.

Soldier was one of my favorites from the list The concept really stood out to me me as a kind of prequel for the Halo universe Soldiers genetically groomed for the best of the best, hoping they can handle the process of becoming a Spartan.

No Escape is grossly underrated. One of my favorite Ray Liotta movies.

Robot Jox was another one of my FAVORITE movies from the early 90's. For years after I first saw it, it was a part of my imagination when playing with friends. Such a cool concept.

"Fans of the game will be amazed how loyal the story is to the film." Did you even play the game? It's almost as different as the Mario Bros movie is to Mario World. The only real reason I didn't like the movie though was because of how rushed the pacing was, but long movies weren't that popular back then, and Wing Commander's production budget was nothing major. Robot Jock looks like G Gundam meets Ring of Red. Good list though, I've only seen one of them, and now want to watch the rest.
