One thing I get from dollar tree is my pill case, I got a very nice one that has 7 days am and pm, and then I found the same one at target for $10
ОтветитьWe've gone on a couple cruises and always enjoy your tips. I would add however, a water bottle or larger thermal bottle. We do not drink alcoholic beverages, however we do enjoy lemonade and coffee. The cups are small but if you take your own bottle, you can fill it up and I go to the Serenity deck to read and always have my cool or hot beverages.
ОтветитьHi Ilana, I always bring tweezers and scissors on my trips. I will store them in a cosmetic bag. I too went to the dollar store and stocked up on toothrushes! Such a great deal! Love your tips! Thanks.
Ответитьavailable at dollar tree….!
ОтветитьAnother excellent job Ilana !
ОтветитьAn eyeglass repair kit! First day of our most recent cruise, a screw came loose on my husbands glasses. Fortunately it didn’t fall out, but there were no repair kits for sale and no tiny screwdriver to be found anywhere onboard (even maintenance didn’t have a tiny screwdriver)! He managed to tighten it a bit using my cuticle tool. First port of call, we found a sundry shop that sold those little repair kits, thank goodness! This could have been a major disaster had he lost the screw because he wouldn’t have been able to see anything as his glasses are bifocals. Lesson learned - eyeglass repair kit is now on our “must take” packing list regardless of where or how we are traveling. 🤓
ОтветитьAlso powder is great if you get a greasy spot on satin. It’s like magic.
ОтветитьNot sure if you see recent comments but, is it ok to bring a universal international plug adapter? I have one that can plug into the European outlet and lets me plug in an American plug.
ОтветитьTry adding baby wipes to the list of essential items as they are a great way to wipe off any sweat or dirt off if you are not near the bathroom or sinks .
ОтветитьThe travel bottles don't leak at all ,but I still place them in a food container that just fits them in case and the food container is see through and waterproof .
ОтветитьThanks for the tips! I went to my local dollar tree today here in Texas and got most of this stuff for our cruise next week to Alaska!
ОтветитьI like the magnetic clips better than the hooks
ОтветитьI found really strong magnet hooks. They were in the school supply area.
They also had really cute door decorations. There were beach signs. Like “surfs up” and ones like “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere” 😃
Baby wipes for excursions alcohol wipes bring Clorox wipes on excursions for arm rests and tray table unpack all your Dollar Tree goodies into one Ziplock and swish it down. Zip bags can be sick bags if needed
ОтветитьJust returned from a cruise. Found and watched your videos right before we left and they were so essential in improving our vacation experience. Thank you so much! Your research and tips are so helpful invaluable, in fact!!😄 Thank you so much!!🤗🌞🧳⚓
ОтветитьThe Pencil cases are perfect for Jewelry. And since they lay flat you can put them in a drawer and see what you have in a glance. ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI take a magnetic white board for my door when traveling with others to keep track of each other as we don't use our phones
ОтветитьI bring a heavy magnet to put my beach bag on
ОтветитьSewing kits can be hard to find. I found mine at the checkout. Not all checkouts will have them so you have to look. Flip flops are a must. And now everything is $1.25, still great deals!
ОтветитьCan you bring life jackets for kids?
ОтветитьCan you take a plugin night light on a cruise or must all lights be battery powered? I'm a first-time cruiser.
ОтветитьDear “life well cruised,” can you do a video on port assistance for disabled passengers? Include wheelchair access and access for ambulatory but limited (walking with canes, other walking assistance), service dogs in Alaskan ports, etc?
ОтветитьI know this video is like a year old, but I just love all your content and ideas! I would say, stay away from the manicure kit at Dollar Tree. I bought one for my car, specifically for the tweezers, and they are horrible and tend to bend when you squeeze them together! The scissors have come in handy one time, but if you get a little sewing kit from Walmart, the scissors will be infinitely better (my local CVS carries a Singer Sewing kit!). Thank you again for all your tips and advice - I'm going on my first cruise (to Alaska!) in July and have been eating up videos like no tomorrow. :D (I'm so excited to be returning to Alaska, as I lived in Fairbanks for 3 years, and would go back tomorrow if I had a job/place to live!)
ОтветитьThose cubes are my home laundry bin! I wash once a week. It will definitely cover a short cruise.
ОтветитьWe have found the dollar store equivalent to Poo Pourri is just as effective and a lot cheaper.
ОтветитьTheir version of Pooperie works great. Used it allot on cruises
ОтветитьI am usually just a lurker on all channels, however, i had to comment because i am pretty sure you were at the dollar trees in my area. I live in Northern NY right off the border. So happy we have Canadians coming back to shop in our area again. If you like message me and ill give you my town name.
ОтветитьI am thinking I’m going to get the magnet from dollar tree to hang fairy lights maybe get 2 packs so I’ll have 8 to them up
ОтветитьAlso carrying a small sewing kit these are great they have safety pins in them and other small parts at may be needed in case you have an accidental rip for something that needs fixing. Also if you wear glasses bringing a little small repair kit that has extra screws might also be another idea.
ОтветитьNew subscriber here. We love bringing magnetic white boards as well. We put a blank one outside our door and leave questions of the day for our neighbors. It’s a fun way to get to know people.
ОтветитьSawing kit it’s at the GOVERNMENT DISCOUNT STORE FOR $1.29 I got one .
ОтветитьHopefully soon a first time cruiser
ОтветитьYou had me at dollar tree❤️
ОтветитьI always take wrinkle releaser. In a small spray bottle.
ОтветитьThey do have shower caps at ours
ОтветитьHighlighters (to highlight the daily newsletter events), sticky notes (to leave for the cabin steward or family members), pens. And, definitely little gifts for the crew members!
Ответитьbingo dauber markers just $1.25 much higher on a cruise ship
ОтветитьI love the thank you card tip. I will definitely go grab some while out today.
ОтветитьI usually buy the trees people use in their car. I put one in the bathroom and it keeps it smelling fresh and clean
ОтветитьBuy the magnets 🧲 she recommended. They work well!
ОтветитьHow do you find the added links at bottom
ОтветитьWell NOW everything is $1.50 at the dollar stores!! NO MORE a DOLLAR STORES. It’s $1.50.. I think or it might be $1.25 I’m not too sure.. all I know it’s no more dollar items
ОтветитьDollar tree has its own brand of poo spray in citrus and lavender. I like the citrus scent best. These are all good suggestions. TYSM
ОтветитьThese dollar trees look familiar! I live right near them!
ОтветитьThe little light is a great idea for traveling with little ones! So helpful when they need to get up in the night!
ОтветитьI buy little spiral notebooks either at Dollar Tree or Walmart. They’re great for taking notes at the port presentations—what to see, what to do. Also good for reminders about people you meet.
ОтветитьToothbrush holder.....for straws! The new straws on Carnival taste horrible and disintegrate.
ОтветитьI absolutely love dollar tree earbuds
