THAT WAS A TOUGH YEAR! A LOT OF GREAT FILMS MADE BACK THEN...
ОтветитьWhen the Oscars were worth watching!!
ОтветитьGood God I didn’t know she did anything else but Roseanne. She’s so young here but very pretty.
ОтветитьI love Estelle's simple black dress, can't go wrong with those
ОтветитьRosanne's mom was a real cutie!
ОтветитьBeah Richards' speech to Spencer Tracy was phenomenal. Fine actress and dignity personified.
ОтветитьI just finished reading Mark Harris's "Pictures at a Revolution." I find it absolutely essential reading to whoever comes across this video, because you're likely a film buff and Oscar lover too. Parsons has some good lines in the book, especially how she was initially ashamed when "B&C" was released.
ОтветитьKindly note that Estelle Parsons did NOT thank Faye Dunaway - NO ONE LIKES HER
ОтветитьWow!! I've only ever seen her on Roseanne, which i love her on. To see her younger is awesome! She's beautiful! Great actress.
ОтветитьLoved her in that movie. I was 13 when it came out
ОтветитьWhere's Faye Dunaway??
ОтветитьI have to say that the role I most remember her for is as Bev Harris on "Rosseanne".
ОтветитьI love how the nominees do not applaud themselves. Estelle has always been great. She was excellent in Terror on the Beach, too.
ОтветитьLove Estelle! ❤️❤️
ОтветитьInteresting that Matthau was the only acting winner present in 1967 and the only one to come back out of the four to present in 1968.
ОтветитьThe sentimental fav was katherine ross
ОтветитьGreat Movie!! 🎬✨
ОтветитьThey chose the correct person most assuredly, but I still love the performance of Beah Richards in Guess Who's Coming To Dinner.
ОтветитьShe stole that film from Warren Beatty and Faye Duneaway!
ОтветитьWhat a group!!!! Any one of them could’ve won.
ОтветитьOne of the 7 women who won acting Oscars in the 1960’s still alive in March, 2022. The others are Sophia Loren, Rita Moreno, Shirley Jones, Julie Andrews, Julie Christie and Barbra Streisand. By contrast only one male acting winner is still alive - George Chakiris.
Ответитьestelle parsons sure was pretty
Ответитьits ironic because the real life Blanche barrow didnt like Esetelle Parsons portrayal of her in the movie, saying that they turned her into a screaching horses ass.
Ответить…i mean - that was worth it to see Warren. He was absolutely adorable.
ОтветитьAnd we still have her! Long live Estelle!
ОтветитьEstelle Parsons was great on Bonnie & Clyde. I F'ING HATED HER CHARACTER!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWarren Beatty you're so vain 🤭
ОтветитьAll she did in Bonnie and Clyde was run around and scream so underserved
ОтветитьCarol Channing should have won. If she had, she would've finally become a movie star.
Ответитьcarol channing ???
ОтветитьParsons was 40 years old when she played 22 year old Blanche Barrow. The real Blanche
Barrow was not happy the way she was played in the film.
She looks like Sandra Bernhard
ОтветитьEstelle Parson was spectacular in B&C from start to finish, but the final scene contributed to this well-deserved win. Kudos, Estelle! You were part of the team that created one of the most astonishing films in American cinematic history.
ОтветитьShould have won Mildred Natwick, great actress of the Ford Stock Company, rip
ОтветитьBack when award shows had CLASS!
ОтветитьWho else is here because of her amazing performance as Babe in Grace and Frankie? ❤❤❤
ОтветитьEstelle Parsons was spellbinding in this film. What a year for supporting actress performances! Each nominee deserved to win. I particularly loved Mildred Natwick’s performance in Barefoot in the Park .
ОтветитьShe’s far prettier here than she was allowed to be in the movie.
ОтветитьMs Ross is absolutely gorgeous
ОтветитьI loved the Roseanne series
ОтветитьNo one clapped for the nominees
ОтветитьEstelle in her 90's still going strong....God Bless u
ОтветитьDamn! She was hot! Every role I ever saw her in, she played a frumpy, annoying lady. I had no idea how lovely she was.
ОтветитьWhat a Great lineup of nominees! I love all those movies! I would give 5th place to Carol Channing although her “Jazz Baby” number is a real show-stopper. 4th place : Katharine Ross only because Hoffman-Bancroft overshadowed her work. 3rd place is Beah Richards, she has one absolutely beautiful scene that will make you cry . And second place to the comedic brilliance of Mildred Natwick, who effortlessly steals the movie from two and of the biggest movie stars in history, Robert Redford and Jane Fonda.
ОтветитьEstelle Parsons was funny and heartbreaking as Blanche in Bonnie and Clyde, her screams were phenomenal. She really nailed her role and deserved the oscar!
