They had all the money in the world to build a green paradise-like oasis in the middle of the desert with beautiful traditional filigree architecture of the region, instead they just keep erecting grid upon grid of big desolate soulless shafts of glass and concrete. No thanks, there are much better places to go.

Nice documentary though. Dubai is a beautiful city. The contrast between traditional center and modern extravagant outer circles is beautiful.
And you've got to love the UAE for using their wealth for improvement. They reinvest everything. That is amazing. Other oil rich countries like Saudi Arabia or Russia use most of it for wars, while their people stay poor. Or Venezuela who just failed in every way.
