I know it's more obvious in KH, but Jack is actually a serious badass. He managed to take out Oogie, dodge all his traps and random crap, and didn't even mess up his clean suit.

i like how the battle is horror vs horror instead of hero vs villain. thats what i like about this movie it makes you root for the scary guys

Everytime Oogie rolls the dice, he always gets snake eyes. But this time when he got them, he acts like he's surprised. Then he flips the dice and gets eleven. That's hilarious.

Every time I see this scene it always feels like I'm watching a sequel like you can tell Jack and oogie have some history considering how Jack makes it sound like Oogie has pulled something like this before.it's like we're watching the sequel to a movie that never was.

I actually feel kinda bad for oogie in this scene. During the entirety of it he originally has the intent to kill Santa and Sally but when Jack shows up he realizes that is out of the picture so he toys with Jack so he can go out with a bang. I get it’s like Jack was getting rid of this murderous, gambling sack of bugs but Oogie really didn’t deserve to die here. You can even see the horror on everyone else’s faces in the room including the dog. The slight “No, Jack no!” Before being skinned really puts into perspective how (although maybe justified) horrible of a thing to do this to anyone would be. I don’t really know but seeing how Oogie never took this fight seriously and was merely having a bit of fun with Jack (he knew this wouldn’t actually kill him since he survived being blown out of the sky) I sympathize with Oogie a bit here for some reason.

Jack: How dare you treat my friends so shamefully!
Me: You go Jack that’s the way to tell him
