I love your videos - there's so much great content and I love how you highlight the technical aspects of the hike. Going to try this trail in the next few weeks!

I think you'd also love
Cathedral Rock (the whole trail is under snow right now but doable in microspikes - I think it'd be a lot easier once the snow has melted
Red Rock - Guardian Angel Pass
Red Rock - Turtlehead Peak

Happy hiking!

Did this hike mid-December last year.
LOVED it.
The springs were not super hot, only warm.
While more difficult than a walk in the park (or down a trail), I think most people in decent shape should be able to do it.
48yrs young
Great coverage of the trail!

I think you can get here by kayak/canoe as well. And I would just wear water shoes the entire hike personally. Thanks for the detailed video!

Been to that hot springs a few times. Not sure the one in video is same one since we only had 1 spot that needed a rope to get to it. Was only rope needed to get to the hot springs.

Also, my hike down was back in 2005. There were not nearly that many ropes but there were the arrows thank God. Hiked down at 1 am. Do not recommend.

I had a wild night at these hot springs long ago. We didn’t know wed end up there and a friend wore platform flip flops. She was having an anxiety attack so i had to give her my Adidas shell toes. This was after someone stole my pants i laid on a Boulder before getting in the springs. So angry. Some nice guy gave me a spare pair of shorts to hike back up. So there i was— it was sunrise now— we were down there all night wearing a tank top, mens super baggy shorts and platform flip flops.

I remember seeing airplane debris walking back up? Did i imagine this or getting it mixed up w another adventure?

Looks like a fun hike. Two things - you keep banging your head on overhanging rocks because you wear baseball caps - not good for hiking! Try wearing them back to front. 2. You end up in a remote spot with hot springs and a lovely river - so what's with swimming in clothes? Crazy! You Americans sure have body issues! 😂

I guess I don't have to say that this area is not handicapped assessable. Handicapped Americans pay their fair share of taxes and serve their country, but don't get to enjoy a large part of it.

Snowflakes are now apparently common in NV. I carried my laundry in a backpack to wash at Goldstrike back in 2007... with only 2 ropes.

I love this hike. If you go up the Colorado a little bit there is a little hot cave. I haven't been there for 15 years or so. First time I went was in the mid 90s. There was maybe enough parking for a half dozen cars but that was plenty. One time coming back up the canyon there was a couple in one of the pools and you could tell they were lacking clothing so we tried to give them some privacy by trying to go wide of the pool but we just ended up high on the side of the canyon with a birds eye view of the action.

This canyon has changed so much from flash flooding over the years. Growing up in Vegas in the '60's-'70's we used to hike to all the hot springs and this one used to be much easier and hardly anyone knew it was there. No parking lot, no signs, no ropes.

Will tell you from experience, don't do it in hot temps. If u partake in a hot springs soak you will be a bit dehydrated on the trek back out. In hot temps this gets exponentially hotter on the way out. Have plenty of water And Salt. Why a couple died on the way out with water. I know hikers who have been carried out do to heat exhaustion. Its a fun hike if you've had a few hikes under your belt. It can b3 too much for first or casual hikers. Also one last surprise to watch for is th3 naked guy who hangs out collecting trash. Wha.... 🤣
