What if you were given the chance to start a brand-new school, one that hadn’t even been designed yet? Where would you begin?

For Beth Hamilton, soon-to-be principal of one such school, answering this question has been her life’s work, and a dream in the making. In the fall of 2018, when the “E-18” elementary school in Bellevue, Washington opens its doors, that dream will become a reality.
