For me the shape is there. We have more a sure way of attacking than with the previous manager. But we lack quality in the left side. We can't put evans on the 3 centre back formations. Need more energy in the mid, can't put 2 veteran players like case and eriksen at the same time.

I’m an Ajax supporter but also a man united fan I’m certainly not a Man United expert but at Ajax we’ve seen a group of players go from the bottom of the league last season to now go unbeaten for 16 matches in a row. Ajax has only added 3 new players ,2 attackers :Wout Weghorst , Bertrand Traore and one defender Ruggani (Juventus). This is basically the same team we only let a few players go Conceicao whose doing great at Juventus now and Lorenzo Luca (Udinese). Fabioli the new headcoach is big on fitness and endurance and the contrast with last season is like night and day. Each and every player has improved and performed at levels that they have never shown before. I‘m saying all this just to say that the idea that getting ‘better’players will solve your problems is a mistake. Ten Hag during his time at Ajax proofed to be very bad at managing players off the pitch. He showed that side of him again at United (Ronaldo). I hope Amorim will make United great again.

Follow what Ruud did in last 4 games. Build your team on those basics

Even I can see the problem just from watching the game. The players were passing the ball around the backline, but the defenders couldn’t find the midfielders, and the midfielders weren’t making themselves available for the pass. They need to create space and perhaps use quick one-twos to escape those situations.

How on earth can you be critical of a manager that’s just walked in the door. He’s had the chance to sit back and look what he has to work with. Utd live off previous accolades so the job is going to be a difficult one. Unfortunately football has moved on and teams are much more competitive than they were a decade or so ago, move on with the times. Maybe Man Utd’s target for the next years to come is top 4 instead of winning the league like the used to.
