Which German stereotypes do you think need to be ditched for good? And are there any particular clichés about your own country that get on your nerves?
ОтветитьI'm from Denmark and I was at a party in Berlin and I was literally the only one wearing a dirndl. But what came as the biggest surprise to me was how old fashioned Germany is when it comes to digital technology. Many places they still expect you to pay in cash and their internet connections are often very slow. Google Streetview is also lacking behind.
ОтветитьI discovered this when I was watching a video from Get Germanized. Thank you very much for this, it was very informative and explains so much!
ОтветитьGerman cars break down a lot and are expensive to fix.
ОтветитьEveryone owns a bicycle 😊
ОтветитьI still believe in german punctuality and efficiency. That is why we are so mad about the Bahn and so embarrassed about the Berlin airport. These examples show us how bad things have become 🙇🏼♀️
Ответитьquestion: why r u evil?
Ответить"That the German language sounds aggresive". Proceeds to say it in a really agressive-sounding manner 😂
ОтветитьGermany...murdering millions of people....
ОтветитьHere it is said, Northern Germans are dry & smart, But I kind a find it opposite. I find it difficult to get along with southern people than Northern! :P
ОтветитьPretty cool, where’s my passport
ОтветитьGermans are the best marchers in the world!
ОтветитьThis commentary section is now property of the Brd
ОтветитьI once flew via Frankfurt. Worst experience ever in my life, security via snail's pace, burly and uncouth security staff........go see meet the fookers instead.
ОтветитьI'm currently questioning myself if I'm actually german... I'm hardly ever punctual, i dont like bread very much nowadays... I don't like beer... i don't eat sausages... but I do go to the fests here in the South in my Dirndl, well often at least...and I'm extremely good in planning
ОтветитьHave the German people been engineered through food ?
ОтветитьLived in Berlin for 8 years in the 90's. Great people, lovely people. You may not always like the answer, but it was always honest! I miss it..
ОтветитьWhat about the stereotype of Germans being cold and reserved? I went to a smaller town called Gorlitz in the east and I found the people there very outgoing. People in bakeries, restaurants and the street when I asked for directions were very chatty and strangers even said Guten Tag and smiled at on the street. Was this because it's a small town? I didn't notice such hospitality in Berlin.
ОтветитьI worked for 15 years for a German company in the USA with a team of German in Germany. Germans are actually disorganized, slow and inefficient and maybe not lazy, but definitely not excited about work. What Germans consider “organization” is really just Byzantine bureaucracy with 90% inefficiency built in. I had to strong-arm Germans into doing things the American way, which caused 500% efficiency increase, while reducing workload. Just wanted to report it is possible for Germans to be happy, in good mood and smiling all the time at work. Took a guy who had his work planned ahead 2.5 years in advance, hour by hour, cleared his schedule, put him on project rotation. He said he is now looking forward to come to work to find out what new challenges are awaiting him. Also, take your Germans for a trip to Gdansk, Warsaw, Prague. Cures superiority complex, teaches humility and expands horizons. A lot of Germans do not travel other than South for vacations, think other people are inferior and cannot get things done. A German who get his ego adjusted tends to become a better person and better worker too…
ОтветитьGermany isn't the size of Texas, it's smaller than the state of Montana.
ОтветитьI can only speak on what I know. Drunk wives who are German nationals tend to be loud and violent 😅
ОтветитьFunny that this year some Italian tourists came to the Wagner Festspiele with Lederhose :-)
ОтветитьI find it extremely interesting that Indonesian trains are punctual while the German trains aren't.
ОтветитьGerman stereotype: Complain about everything.
ОтветитьWasn't really mentioned, but I heard German ingenuity is a force to be reckoned with.
ОтветитьHaven’t changed much since 1933👹🇩🇪👎🏽
Ответить🇩🇪👹🇩🇪👹🇩🇪👹🤮👎🏽unkind and UNFRIENDLY and STINGY🤮👹🇩🇪
ОтветитьWe need more Rachel!
ОтветитьPünktlichkeit war mal ein Volkssport, mittlerweile bin ich gefühlt Alleinunterhalter in diesem Punkt.
Mein Humor ist ebenso einzigartig und gestrahlt wie meine ganze Lebensweise.
Hire some hispanics theyll take care of the contrusction quick and good job ! And im sure within budget too . Although european architecture is very extravagant and luxurious, theyll take care of it quick, and efficiently w a good group of latinos
ОтветитьFunny in Rome do like Romeohcitezen 😂😂❤contraste
ОтветитьThanks for the fantastic video, Germans have good sense of humor, and yess they laugh.
ОтветитьGarbage disposal, traffic rules, quiet Sundays and shutting the laptop at dot 5. 😂
ОтветитьLove of Precious and Planning actually gets in their way....
that sounds like Me, I LIVE for efficiency, but I'm TERRIBLE at time management and things take FOREVER to get done by me. but It's not because I'm German (I'm not, only by descent,) it's because I'm adhd/creative:)
Germans are extremely funny, the time for joking is usually from 5 pm to 6 pm
ОтветитьThe existence of Rammstein is proof that Germans do indeed have a sense of humour.
ОтветитьI’m Bavarian we do pride ourselves on being on time
ОтветитьFeel spread goodness satguru god covers loves pleases chastens purifies humbles you all
Ответить🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьOf course time consultant is a profession in Germany 😂
ОтветитьI'm Russian.
I can approved stereotypes in "водка, матрёшка, балалайка" style, but sometimes. It can be funny, but it can also can be very stupid stereotype. Also I don't really like stereotype about that all Russia is like Syberia. I don't like cold winters, and there a lot of territories in Russia are in the middle or hot climate. I live in Moscow and at summer it can be very hot hear, but for exaple in Kaliningrad where my mom was born winters are usually shorter and soft than in cities like Novosibirsk. There a lot of climate zones in Russia.
I think stereotypes is a very bad think for relationships between different people from other countries. Study culture of other folk and it will be less stereotypes in your life🤚!
Rhe video is great!!!
I think that as years go by , stereotypes fade out worldwhile!
As a guy with friends and relatives in germany, whos visiting in annual basis, I'd say that most of the stereotypes stand until today,
I've seen people dressed traditionally walking the streets and of course Germans drink beer...a lot!
I actually like the German humour although my favorite is the British...
I love the fact that Germans (and their trains) are on time.
As for efficiency... You could say that they are efficient because the agreed tempo of work is too slow, when they work i feel they move in slow motion, but their result is very good!
Die haben doch keine Humor, wirklich nicht. :-) Die müssen noch etwas lernen aber sind fast da. :-) Wenn die wirklich mal 0.0 trinken dann dann ... kommts. :-)
ОтветитьI think Germans are robotic people programmed to thinked that way. They liked being supress by Socialism, communism ,facist lifestyle. And the free democrat world should be afraid of them.
ОтветитьHennaing Wehn is a German comedian in the U.K. he is brilliant and very popular.
ОтветитьNo one thinks Germans walk around in lederhosen or Oktoberfest is going on 24/7 lol
ОтветитьThey eat strudels and drink beer all day. Everybody knows.
ОтветитьUnbelievable......Germans aren't funny because stews suffered.
Try this.......the stews graped and abused the humour out of the Germans post ww2.
