Some huge mega proejcts going on in CA, did we miss any?
ОтветитьAs someone from the Bay Area, hearing the video say I-508 almost killed me. It's 580, not 508. Get your facts right.
ОтветитьWhat are you smoking? The HSR is a disaster, and most of these other projects will be as well. So we are going to GET RID of 4 reservoirs? And this helps the water shortage in California HOW exactly? And they are making up for it by letting us drink and eat our own sewage. Thanks.
PS I used to live in Van News.
Funny that one of the LAX images was Burbank,
ОтветитьI am sure the AI voice would be mortified by how many mistakenly pronounced place names were mangled.
ОтветитьAnd all these companies that are closing doors and some people from california to texas. Lol well texas could have all the old left overs. And california is aiming for new bigger things to keep california for what it is. So all these companies go ahead and leave to texas lol.its always a cycle of something else thats bigger better that is just waiting its turn to show in california. So texas take the old stuff that california doesnt want anymore. California will just get always bigger better things in the future that you guys cant get.
ОтветитьIf you are going to review projects in countries other than your local language. Learn and practice the local pronunciation.
ОтветитьWhy do people keep using AI narration? It fully sucks.
ОтветитьThey are pronounced "Bart," like the guys name, "Der-RID-ee-un," and "San Ho-zay." These are three among many other weird pronunciations. Was this vid produced with an AI voice or script writer?
ОтветитьAs long as the agricultural runoff continues there is no point to restoring the salton sea. Especially with Californias drought problems. They could do so many other things, housing communities, parks, theme parks, geothermal plants, solar farms, extend agricultural, or even a whole new city.
ОтветитьThere is no such thing as a water shortage, and Gavin Newsom redirects water from Washington state and Canada into the Pacific Ocean, creating the appearance of drought.
ОтветитьTRASH FROM TRASH.
ОтветитьI doubt the Salton Sea will be recovered until “recovered/improved until the “big earthquake” opens it up to the Gulf of California. Note, the major railroads and significant cities on the north end of the valley are built above sea level!
ОтветитьNice informative video, but PLEASE research pronunciations! "Angeles" rhymes with "yes" , "Jose" J is a soft H "hO-sey", "Nuys" sounds exactly like "nice" (not the city)
ОтветитьI fell out of my chair when he tried to pronounce Pleasanton...
ОтветитьSan JOE SAY 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьSan JOEse and pleezanton😂
ОтветитьHigh speed rail zipping across the state… that is hilarious! The high speed rail has been a disaster, colossal waste of money, and it going nowhere, fast.
ОтветитьPropaganda for a failed, bankrupt state.
ОтветитьI am 60. I hope to see all the dams, damned gone!
Ответитьi know they are mispronouncing names on purpose to get comments which makes the video get recommended more. but man does the mispronouncing of san Jose and Ventura county annoy me lmao
ОтветитьThe biggest Mega project they need to work on is crime
ОтветитьAnother Click-Bait where the Thumbnail has nothing to do with the subject. This dafty guy is slaughtering American English left and right. It's pronounced "BART" as in Simpson! No one calls it "B-A-R-T". Also, Van Nuys is pronounced as "Van Nuys" as in "Guys", not "News". Another one: "Los Angeles" is pronounced "Los An-ge-less", not "An-gel-eeze" like "squeeze".
ОтветитьNearly all of these plans, especially the allotment of spaces for office and retail in Santa Ckara and the nearly statewide plans for commuter services, are tragically already outdated. Life and society are greatly changed since the inception of these archaic designs.
ОтветитьWhat power plants will be built to power California
ОтветитьYou tell about all the great things but leave out the major overruns and the in ability of California to run a project within budget.
ОтветитьAll these train projects do not address a huge safety issue with continued assaults stabbings and shootings. The “high” speed railway from nowhere to nowhere. Should have been stopped multiple times for not meeting milestones built in to protect excessive cost overruns and building delays. Technically it should already be carrying passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
In 2008, California voters approved a ballot measure to build a high-speed rail (HSR) network that would connect the state's major urban areas and reduce travel times. The original promise was to have a system that could travel at speeds of up to 220 miles per hour, with a nonstop trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles taking just 2 hours and 40 minutes, compared to about nine hours on Amtrak. The system was also expected to be completed by 2020 and cost $9.95 billion in state bond funding
Oh, what you say is good, but there's one problem. You have to add water, add water. Add water to the salt and sea. Were you paid for it? We hit paid for everything, but why don't you add more water? Okay, that's the way to stop this. Elinity and the shrinking sea.
ОтветитьBefore I rip your video to shreds, a little background. I've worked for the city of LA for 30 years and couldn't wait to leave. Ca. is a broke state, both financially and morally, run by career bureaucrats who care more about getting re elected than the benefit of their constituents. The state is now facing a staggering 55 billion dollar deficit despite the fact of being one of the most overtaxed states in the country. LAX is and will remain a cluster f*ck of airports, Previous mayor Hahn's airport renovation should have been chosen, though more expensive, rather than this piss poor compromise. Next, high speed fail. You've stated in the beginning of your video, a cost of 77 billion, Please update your news sources. It's now estimated at more than double that, if ever completed since the feds will soon stop all future funding due to corruption and constant cost overruns. Even in the remote possibility of completion over 20 years from now, the maintenance costs will be in the billions of dollars every year, whether people ride or not. Do you actually believe that the airlines will sit by and watch their market share disappear? They will take a loss on in state flights just to destroy this waste of taxpayers money. The ticket costs will NEVER create a profitable transit system, without constant infusion of taxpayer money. Good luck Ca....you'll need it, unless you cease voting for nitwits who have destroyed a once beautiful, safe place to live.
Ответить“Kla - Mathe”?? and “San Joe-Say” really?? “Please - on - ton?!?” “Van News”?? “Ventura Country” Country??”Standard Gorge track? Can’t these be edited and corrected??
ОтветитьNames are butchered but some can be turn into meme. I call San Jose like Jo sey to sound bougie kinda like Tar-jay (Target). But the name Fremont pronounced as freh-MONT instead of Free-mont sounds posh too lol 😂
ОтветитьIndia guys call it San Joinzee
ОтветитьAll will fail, it's California!!
ОтветитьCritical resources are being wasted on the high speed train that does nothing to prepare California for global warming that cannot be stopped by declaring war on carbon. Instead, resources should be directed towards mega water reservoirs to capture rain runoff because snow will be replaced by rain.
ОтветитьYou’ve missed pronounced almost every single name
ОтветитьReally?😅😅
ОтветитьAs much as I am delighted to see these stunning projects, I can't help but wonder: wouldn’t it be better if all subjects were built upon a better condition where poverty and robbery are better dealt with?
ОтветитьSan "Ho-Sey"
ОтветитьThanks for the video!! Would be great to see in future videos, but you should totally section off the different projects for quick reference for viewers!!!
ОтветитьSugar coated Democratic talking points BS. Those of us born and raised in CA are horrified at what it has become and how much further it is to crash. Absolute crap video.
Ответить🛫🛬🛬
ОтветитьThe California High Speed Rail is now + $110 billion in cost.
ОтветитьHorrible video. I remember why I didn’t follow the channel.
Ответитьi don't know who the voice is, but his pronunciation of some of the cities are comical.
Ответить🤣🤣🤣 so stupid
ОтветитьHow hard is it to say San Jose? Dionne Warwick even sang how to go there. Are we hearing a real voice or a computer generated one? Can't say I'm going to follow this channel when so little effort is put into getting the simplest names right. Like Fremont. 🤦♂

As a Bay Area resident, it's nice to see both the BART Silicon Valley extension and the Santa Clara development mentioned in this video, as both are exciting projects. For BART, their biggest need is to extend to San Jose Diridon to connect with the other transit networks such as Caltrain, ACE and another connection with Amtrak and VTA. And for Santa Clara, I've been seeing multiple 20 story residential buildings when passing both the Great America and SCU stations by train, which is encouraging because more homes are needed to alleviate congestion and bring down the housing market value to make everything more affordable
And that's not even mentioning California High-Speed Rail, which would be an absolute game changer for the entire state
It's pronounced hoesay, but nice try man.
ОтветитьYes and yeah of course BART Silicon Valley to Santa, CA.😮
