Hands down this has got to be one of the most MAGNIFICENT scenes in television history
ОтветитьWell prepared scene. The whole environment is to make Drogon's appearence more impressive.
Actually, looking back it is very interesting for me how much this scene has a "western people in southeast Asia" vibe. It is just like "two Dutch sailors visit India, Thailand and Komodo for the first time and get schocked by Komodo dragons, crocodiles, elephants etc.
How they took a drama, so poetically written and executed, and turned it into a hot mess like a soap opera in Season 8, is still beyond me after all these years.
ОтветитьJorah: Holy shit that dragon got big
Tyrion: Holy shit dragons are real
One of my favorite scenes from the series. The way the dragon flies silently without a roar makes this scene even better. I am glad the director didn't fall for the urge to include a much expected cinematic roar as it flew by.
ОтветитьLooking at these clips from the early seasons, where the dialogue is SO GOOD.
Such bittersweet feelings.
Might well be my favorite scene in the entire series.
ОтветитьRuined this show
ОтветитьTyrion and Jorah just casually strolling through Valyria when no men except maybe Euron are supposed to able to go in and come back out again is such an insult to book lore. Valyria in the books is supposed to so fucked after the doom that the sky around it perpetually glows blood red. But then again season 5 really fails to adapt book 4 and 5 in many key storylines not to say they don’t get some things right
ОтветитьSo this was supposed to be drogon
ОтветитьThe early seasons were wonderful cinematic and storytelling pieces of Art, why can't we have nice things?.
ОтветитьTyrion: 🤩😳😶
Jorah: 😦
Drogon: Good afternoon gentlemen 🐲
can you imagine the sound of that thing flying over you?
ОтветитьСамая лучшая сцена сезона.
ОтветитьBackground music
Ответитьwatching house of the dragon, and then going through valyria, makes alot of sense with what they were actually talking about
ОтветитьThis is my favorite scene of the whole series. It captures everything that made GoT great. Two complex and believable characters, each acting in accordance with their values. Values we know they have because on screen they have demonstrated them in word and deed. They are both adversaries and friends, with a shared culture and history. they don't hate each other, they don't like each other, but the respect they share for a moment in this scene is palpable. and then the history, they way we get a taste of somethin that everyone in that world knows, there was a terrible doom that consumed an entire empires in a single day, and no one knows why. A silent reminder that all things end. And then the dragon, a beast from myth returns. Tyrion's surprise and wonder, Mormot's awe and love. Its just so good.

What song was played when the dragon came I can’t find it
Ответитьi would love to explore this place.
ОтветитьI get goosebumps EVERY time i see Tyrions reaction to seeing the dragon. I love his reaction.
Believing that something no longer exists anymore. Completely extinct. Wiped off the earth.
Then out of no where, seeing that very thing, big enough to conquer a kingdom flying over you.
That's almost heart attack inducing.
What did they came to valyria?
ОтветитьThe best scene from these season
ОтветитьTyrion was wrong hahaha, this is not Valyria it was Chroyane.
ОтветитьI miss such scenes. They kinda stopped happening towards the end of GOT and even in the first season of HOTD
ОтветитьIt’s been 7 years…
ОтветитьThis once great series suffered the same fate as Old Valyria
ОтветитьI really like the difference in their reactions. Jorah is impressed by the sight of Drogon being bigger than last he saw him but Tyrion is shocked and in awe.
ОтветитьNot many people have idea how special this scene was. Until them, I believe, it was never mentioned how Tyrions loved dragon stories and wanted one since his childhood. His love for reading much probably came from the curiosity of such feral beasts. There is a whole chapter in book 1 where we learn about his love for dragons. And then his face when he finally sees one... Wow. The acting and the song were amazing.
ОтветитьWonder if Drogon returned to Valyria and nested there permanently after the finale.
Ответитьand 🐲Drogon
ОтветитьJust Drogon minding her own business and going on errands
ОтветитьPeter Dinklage is a GREAT actor. Imagine making that face while looking at absolutely nothing😂
Ответить??
ОтветитьIs that drogon
ОтветитьWhere is this filming location???
ОтветитьNo matter where you go
A dragon in flight is always a magnificent sight to behold
Still get shivers watching this.
ОтветитьIt's interesting that as Jorah and Tyrion travel into the ruins of the past, and Tyrion says "this is what remains," Drogon flies past them in the opposite direction. I always interpreted this as a foreshadowing of dragons (and House Targaryen) reclaiming the future.
Ответитьmay be in old valariyan city dragon give eggs
ОтветитьActually such an iconic scene. Mainly because of tyrions reaction at the end and the dragon just majestically flying overhead
Ответитьprobably almost as awe-inspiring a sight for jorah as it was for tyrion. when was the last time he saw drogon? how much bigger has he gotten since then?
love this version of fire and blood too.
why does the dragon look bigger here than in S5E9 when he saves them from the harpies
ОтветитьThis is one of my favourite scenes in the entire show. Tyrion & Jorah - their backstories and connections and lived experiences that brought them to this very moment.. The poetry. Drogon flying majestically over the Ruins of Valyria. It was just marvellous.
Despite everything that happened with this show, these 2 minutes were absolutely beautiful.
My favourite scene.
ОтветитьThis season has flaws but this scene is perfection
ОтветитьJorah Mormont. One of my least favorite book characters and one of my favorite show characters. Iain Glen. Durn good actor. His was and is my favorite Hamlet portrayal, just squeaking over Olivier
