These videos are great and i'm still learning. I've been bumbling my way through mostly following the personal story line solo as a necromancer and am already at level 60. I have a few challenging things im still trying to figure out that are basic:
1) Finding quest targets on the map involves a lot of scrolling and zooming and sometimes the marker is just a place where you have to go to go through a portal which is confusing
2) Even at level 60 I still dont have a good feel for what im doing with my build/weapons etc. Hasnt clicked at all. I've looked at a bunch of builds and watched some videos but most of the builds are end game/maxed out which dont help you with the process to get there or what to focus on. This game, unlike all MMOs before it, does not hand out better gear much and is also not super generous on currency (the multiple currencies are another oddity).
3) The inventory space management isn't bad but the icons arent very differentiated to me so its a lot of clicking around
4) While I've been getting through the fights, I just kind of mash buttons when the cooldowns are down and hit heal when I need it. I dont feel like I have much of a strategy there either.
5) As a dad gamer (and a lot older), its hard to find solid uninterrupted time for raids/pvp etc so i'm mostly a PVE/solo player (yeah I know this is Guild Wars 😜).
Silly question but for me wardrobe costs 1 transmutation every time (per item), why is that? Not for dye though
ОтветитьMap completion to level?
ОтветитьThanks bro
Ответитьawesome video
ОтветитьBig note: Toughness is what generates aggression in GW2. If you're not specifically building a tank, too much toughness is detrimental (focus vitality for survivability instead).
Unless gearing a tank, or for WvW, 3 toughness pieces is typically the most you should have
big thanks!
Ответитьis secret of obsecure free rn ?
Ответитьwhat expansion u need for skyloord
ОтветитьBest game !
ОтветитьI just started a couple days ago... this video is going to help so much! thanks!
ОтветитьI haven't played in over 2 years... It's so overwhelming I'm scared to come back.
ОтветитьSomething to note on picking the race is to also think of which voice acting you like the most. I cannot tell you how important this becomes once you get to the later expansions as some voices don't sync with your own feelings.
For example, I made a human necro, and after getting it all geared to mostly ascended gear, I made a asuran engineer for kicks and giggles. Now I am serious debating switching mains because it turns out, the asura male voice acting fits me perfectly. But I cannot decide because I put in so much time into the necro already.
Damn, complete 2024 guide up before 2024 even begins?
Bloody hell, my man is proficent with the Crystal Ball.
damn just started playing yesterday, this came out at a great time!, say what should i buy with 4k gems I grabbed the complete pack for $50 and solo ult for $75 so everything is unlocked but i'm fresh with no unlocks in the gem store. what would you recommend to make the game very enjoyable?
ОтветитьI'm playing the game right now for about 2 weeks, and I still get lost on what to do and have not done any training. T_T
ОтветитьGreat video. :)
/salute
"Decade Devotion"
I started playing a week ago. To me I feel like I have no real goal, randomly following hearts and doing the main quest(which is not really interesting to me, at least now). I hope things get better and I find the "end game" that fits me.
ОтветитьHell yeah! That's what I've been waiting for :D
ОтветитьAre there any worthwhile side activities around lvl 30 or the good stuff is behind lvl cap ? I've done majority of the stuff for 25 lvl zone.
Ответитьid love to get back into gw2
Ответитьwild i was just installing the base game to try it out for the first time
Ответитьthis is so funny i just got back into gw2 didn’t get far and was watching one of your videos today! and then you post this 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤗
Ответитьi cant get into it
ОтветитьThanks for this great new video, I needed some endgame info :D
ОтветитьTHE caffeinated dad... implying there is an imposter somewhere...
ОтветитьI started recently and Imo use less lore that noone cares about and focus on what matters. For ex, class descriptions: Guardian is plate damage or support like a paladin. Warrior uses adrenaline mechanic like tryndamere or wow warrior. Rev uses energy like rogue in wow or lee sin. Ranger is typical pet class but can be support or not use pet. Thief steals to build charges and unload damage, as assasin, ranged or priest. Ele uses 1 weapon but has 4 stances. Engineer uses 1 weap but has toolbelt options instead. Necro uses health as a resource and can summon things. Mesmer is a mage with clones and should be deleted from game.
ОтветитьOh snap! You weren't kidding, you were almost done with the 2024 version 😅 can't wait to watch this on my lunch break!
ОтветитьI am a new player and I did one character no boost and one character with boost. IF YOU ARE A NEW PLAYER USE THE BOOST!!!!! Do not listen to people who tell you not to boost! This is not like other MMOs where you skip stuff by boosting. You can still do all the quests and story after boosting. If you do not boost you are in for by far the worst leveling experience of all the big MMOs out there trust me I have played all of them. It is worse than FF14, WoW, ESO, SWTOR all of them. All of those games are super easy with no challenge and make the experience very boring but this game is even easier than that. A 3 year old with no arms is apparently the target audience of the base game leveling experience. Now everything outside of the leveling experience the game is amazing. I still highly recommend you play the game as long as you boost so that you can get through it faster as well as take breaks to do more interesting content. Now people will try to tell you that you need to level to learn your class well leveling does not teach you your class because you can just auto attack to kill everything and never press a single button other than W and 1. What I would recommend is look up a core build of whatever class you are playing for the weapons you think are cool and just use that to start with and slowly learn the abilities that way. I also greatly recommend trying out some PvP it is great fun. Anyway good luck, use the boost.
ОтветитьOne small thing to consider when choosing a race is that there are cultural armors only wearable by that race. So if you fancy the ninja underboob human top for your thief don’t pick norn. That’s just the most iconic cultural armor I can think of but same goes for all. We all know fashion is the REAL endgame
ОтветитьBro is out here making better tutorials than the game itself. Always great to have refresher vids like this.
ОтветитьJust what I needed. Thanks man.
ОтветитьJust started, and your video help me a lot
ОтветитьTraditional MMO'ists, this game will bork your brain if you consider any other MMO when jumping in. It's a breath of fresh air, welcome!
ОтветитьYayyy now I got something to day drink to!(I'm on vacation , don't judge me)
If I'm a brand new GW2 player at lvl 57 and I decide to pop a lvl 80 booster how much more does the game have to throw at me? Is that close enough to pop it without missing much?
Thanks dude
ОтветитьHell yeah man, amazing video as per usual :)
Amazing addition to new 2024.
Also wish you all a lovely and amazing upcoming new year :D
Perfect timing!
