Sorry, but I couldn't finish watching the video because of the music, but if I'm the only one complaining, ignore me!
ОтветитьMaking this recipe for the third time now and I just keep coming back to it! Truly incredible eating.
The second time I made it I put it together early in the morning and just let it go through the day. Think it was cooking for 11 or 12 hours. Didn't even need a spoon, bones came out of the pot already clean
Thank you it's my favourite meal. 😊
ОтветитьWhat can I substitute for the wine?
ОтветитьReally cheap cut of meat lol, oxtail is one of South Africas most expensive meat cuz we do it best and if we could afford it more we would. Supply n demand
ОтветитьOmg!!! This is the recipe I’ve been looking for! My dad used to cook it this way and to be honest I’m now craving oxtail stew
ОтветитьAt my butchers i dont get to pick suck nice cuts. If i buy at th supermarket prepacked i do get these but i pay much more.
ОтветитьThis video is timeless. Still delicious years later. Thanks!
ОтветитьThat looks amazing.
ОтветитьIt’s a great recipe and meal but I wouldn’t say it’s a cheap cut no more I purchased some today at $25 a kg in Australia
ОтветитьWhy music ?
ОтветитьThanks for a good, simple recipe, free from "Notting Hill" - style ingredients (i.e., unobtainable anywhere except London). Although I now live in Finland, I can easily get all the ingredients here.
ОтветитьLooks delicious 😋
ОтветитьYummy 😋
Ответитьwow my favourite meal done perfect bravo
ОтветитьYour recipe looked so inviting I had to try it. Never made oxtail before. It was simple to follow and when completed, the flavors were decadent! The meat was as tender as I could get from any restaurant. I took a photo of what I accomplished and sent to my friends. My compliments to you Adam. I'd make this dish again in a heartbeat and wouldn't change a thing.
ОтветитьHad to order my oxtail and they're not cheap anymore either but really looking forward to trying your recipe.
Thanks
I'm in the U S, and am old enough to remember when oxtails were a dollar or two for a tray of them.
Now they are as much as steak!
Just made my oxtail stew from half-price tails I had in freezer.
It was fantastic with tomatoes from a can, bayleaf, garlic/onion, and chili powder!
I add butter beans and oxtail stew seasoning. 😋
ОтветитьLooks great, Adam! I thought the addition of star anise was interesting, so I've added it to mine, which is slowly cooking in the bottom oven of mum's AGA now - and smells delicious! Thank you for the recipe!
ОтветитьThis is a really good recipe. It conforms pretty much to my very old family recipe. Instead of the star anise, it suggests a muslin bag containing about a quarter of a tsp. of black (or mixed) peppercorns, 3-4 cloves, a couple of allspice berries and a blade of mace. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with star anise; it sometimes ends up tasting like cough medicine! I don't faff with muslin bags but use a metal spice ball; these are sometimes sold as tea balls for immersion in the pot. My. mother's oxtail was revered throughout the wider family. I've only just discovered your site and will look in again.
ОтветитьNice job.
ОтветитьNow thats my style Ox Tail, Plain simple recipe like Mom cooked it. I would about add 200 ml (Cup) of original coke and leave out the anyseed. Samp goes well with this also. Mashed sweet pumpkin or sweet potatoes to break down the richness a bit. Deliscious. Thanks Mate..
ОтветитьGreat thanks😋👌. Hi from CANADA.
ОтветитьThanks for this nice and simple recipe proper comfort food got every thing but the wine wich I'm going to get im going to cook this tonight 😋 and for me ill have to add just one whole 🌶 wicked😋 regards craig . Liked and subed👍
ОтветитьLiked your video however you’re incorrect in stating where oxtail comes from. There is no such thing as a “male cow”, a cow is a mature female bovine. Secondly both male and female have tails and Oxtail comes from either
ОтветитьA stingy meat portion for two. I remember when a whole un butchered Ox tail cost £1. Its a massivy underrated cut of meat, your recipe is very similar to mine, I add swede pieces too and finally, a pastry crust on top for me for last 20 mins in the oven.
I cook for 5 hours at about 135 Celsius on average.
Trying this badbwoi.
ОтветитьHave you tried this in an Instant Pot? Just got one and think this would 🤔 be great done in there
ОтветитьI love this guy. He's brilliant. Top marks from me.
ОтветитьI’m too trying for the first time
ОтветитьAt £11 a tail I wouldn't call it cheap!!
ОтветитьIt’s not cheap anymore but expensive
ОтветитьYou make it look so easy to make and man, it looks so delicious. I'll be cooking this for sure. Thank you for sharing .
ОтветитьSince you made this video oxtail shot up in price. In ASDA yesterday it cost me £14 for 1.1kg!
ОтветитьOxtail 6.50£ Not cheap but tastes good!
ОтветитьOne of my favourite meals ❤
ОтветитьDid you CLEAN those first??
ОтветитьNobody discusses pressure cooker conversions…
ОтветитьNo longer cheap at all ! Has become an elite fad .
ОтветитьBreath of lucid fresh air - so big ta for your guidance and commentary. m
ОтветитьUsed this recipe today with dumplings, so easy x
ОтветитьAm not browning it , am just fukin it all straight in the crock pot , a dont like doin dishes,,, al let yes know how it goes
ОтветитьExcellent instructional video. Not too much filler. Just right to the point!
ОтветитьGreat work
ОтветитьGreat recipe.. Was looking for a Ox tail one to try.. New sub 👍🏻
Ответитьfat separator... ?
ОтветитьExcellent recipe – please might you consider losing the music, Adam?
You're honestly far more interesting to listen to and you really don't need it as it's quite a fight to shut out the music, sorry!
Off to prepare my oxtail. 😋
"Cheap cut of meat"?! I don't know where you live but here in the USA, oxtail can go for as much as $14 a pound!
