With as much as adoption costs, i'm shocked to find out that the mother of the baby being given up isn't compensated in anyway.
I put so much money into trying to adopt to keep being turned down. I had to pay just to apply. I had to pay to do the interview, i had to pay for them to inspect my home. All of that and they came up with random bs excuses for turning me down to adopt.
I had thought the price was so high for legal adoption (not black market) that the mother had to be getting a good chunk of the money.
