In regards to 'saying what your friends want to hear in order to change their behaviour'.. that's synonymous with manipulation - not exactly healthy behaviour between friends. I think as friends it is important to consider each other's goals and evaluate whether you are on the same page ie. do you both want to win and will go to lengths such as manipulation to altar each others behaviour. I personally think it's fine in solo queue with strangers, but between friends, I think there needs to be an acknowledgement that you will say these things to un tilt them in a given situation, for example in team environments (aphromoos recent blitz interview he mentions that certain players are key to untilting him and reminding him that the teams aim is to win the game).
This kinda opens up all sorts of discussions about tilting but in general if you play with friends and get moody and passive aggressive when you or they make mistakes, I think your problems stem deeper than the need to untilt to win a game of league

Was losing a LoL game super hard when i started listening to this. Decided to follow the steps and give up my dignity to feed my adc's ego. It worked and we ended up playing perfectly as a team. Thanks Weldon! :)
