Paul here Danny how in a simulator can i hit a mavrik sub zero 230 yds but on course hit it around 265 yds . But that i wore out , so now i hit the new ping g430 £250 more in simulator 200 yds forcing it ,on course 218 and fitters at east ardsley say thats your distance for 80 mph swing yet now ive altered setting to more draw still no improvement so moved back foot back and now move my body into it, since doing this i hit a 250 and uphill 254 yd drive . Does this mean i gain speed ? Or something else . I weigh 19st play 5 times a week and am 67yrs . Help.

Thank you again for the easy and effective tips. I've recommended your instructional videos to anyone that asks the reasons for my recent improvement. Pretty much stopped watching all others and you are now my Sensei. Domo Arigato.

Danny: I’ve watched portions of this video several times and I noticed that you set up for the shot and then load your hands forward just as you begin the back swing. It appears to me that your engaging a little forward shaft lean. Am I seeing this correctly?

Tip four, Tee your ball up slightly forward of the Lady's Red Tees. Joke. Great instruction channel, thanks.

When I try this I hit way behind the ball and down into the ground. If I stay real stiff I hit a low ball dead straight at 200 yards total distance. How can i loosen up but still hit the ball in the middle and not on the very top.

Danny, i’ve watched plenty of your content and it has improved my game. I always wonder if you are going to take a small step forward after warmup swings but instead you extend yourself. i imagine this would change the swing from the original warmups, am i correct?

I always enjoy watching Danny's videos (maybe it's also the soft Yorkshire accent?). Some sources point out that the hot spot on a driver is not actually the centre, but rather slightly higher and closer to the toe - the gear effect of centrifugal forces means there is greater acceleration moving away from the heel through the centre, coupled with lower backspin and still solid contact (not directly on the toe, of course), resulting in a draw and slightly longer distances. Everyone must surely have noticed sometimes that a toe-y feeling shot has gone much further than expected, no?

I have been struggling with the accuracy of my driver. When using my Mevo +, I may get 70 percent of my shots drawing and 30% fading. Out of 30 shots, 20 may fall within plus or minus 25 yards. The other 10 maybe plus or minus 35 or 40 yards. I don’t have a perspective of how bad this is. What would a good dispersion look like for an amateur? I do swing between 100 and 105 mph. My handicap is 13. My driver will either make or break my round.

Thanks for another great lesson.

Hi Danny: How can I stop hitting the mats too hard while practicing? My shoulder blade is always sore after practicing because I hit the mats on down swing too hard no matter how hard I try to not dip down on my downswing. Is there a drill you can suggest to help me eliminate the body dip?

Danny have you a video that talks about the degree of left leg knee flex at impact. I personally have been straitening or locking out my leg, probably just prior to impact. Your view on that issue would be great. Thank you very much for all of the other information you have provided.

I feel like this is horrible advice. You should angle your shoulders in such a way that you naturally hit up on the ball through impact. You should never deliberately try to hit up or down on a ball. Body positioning is everything in golf.

My problem is I am right handed singled handed bur I play golf left handed so I have a problem swinging a club in my left hand only. By using too much right hand in my swing I follow through across my body and hence a slice or over the top swing.

Just discovered your channel Danny and have overdosed on the videos of late!!! Love the method and the theories you teach.
I've been trying to change to incorporate your teaching but even with the great explanation of the catapult, like always, my hands are ALWAYS finishing low left after impact with little or no separation of my left arm from my torso. Thinking poor release???

Any idea why and have you any specific video that addresses this issue? I think I'm an over the topper sadly for me, but still manage to get down to 8 playing handicap. No distance is my biggest issue, hence big interest in this video, which is awesome

I dont really understand why you need to strike UP the ball with a driver but not an iron.....surely the loft on each club is what gets the ball in the air, not the direction of travel of the face....that sort of implies all you need is a club with no loft at all as long as you hit on the upswing......Yes, this is my misunderstanding, of course, and my swing is definitely better for this video (and many others of yours Danny), but curious as to why we hit UP with a wood and down with an iron

Any thoughts on shaft stiffness affecting distance??? I think a lot of new golfers don't get the importance and that may cause distance issues too. THANKS for this excellent companion piece with the catapult method!

DANNY Can you help me with my ball position with my FMAX RED OFFSET DRAW DRIVER . I bought it brand new but now I hit left, right, sometimes a nice draw, and once in a while straight. THERE IS NO VIDEO TELLING ME HOW TO HIT IT, BUT PLENTY ON DESIGN, WHO ITS FOR, HOW LIGHT IT IS . MINE IS SO LIGHT ITS AT HOME AND HAS BEEN THERE FOR 3 MONTHS NOW .4 MONTHS AGO I BOUGHT IT 3 WEEKS AFTER THE ABOVE HAPPENED AND I'M PETRIFIED I WILL HURT SOMEONE WITH A BALL.
