It's horrible to live your life thinking, and planning your life like if you were a robot.
ОтветитьThe birthrate s not a problem, our broken economic system is. We don't need to breed more, there are more than enough of us already and everyone is miserable.
ОтветитьWhat is the analysis of birth rate by - religion? I bet Muslim birth rate is not below replacement rate.
ОтветитьPeople who do have money don't want kids because they want to enjoy life instead of potentially getting home bound taking care of a child.
ОтветитьBecause we live in a liberated society where its not a taboo anymore to admit you dont want to have a family. Leave us alone
ОтветитьOur lives our counted as assets on someone's bank sheet.
ОтветитьI decided when I was a teenager, that I would start a family just as soon as I could get on the property ladder...
20 years of work later - I'm still not there yet 😢
This is what these governments get for promoting the NWO/Great Reset. Not enough people to sustain their kingly living, on a global scale.
ОтветитьThe answer is feminism.
ОтветитьDont have kids is for the kids, dont bringing kids to this world so they dont experience all the pain and suffering that exist in this world, high housing prices, all the corporate greed, high energy price, enslave to the system!
ОтветитьInflation is caused by government printing money.
Crazy ideia: if government stops to print money then all problems are solved.
Jobs pay less. Houses cost more. Jobs are unstable to temporary. Hospital births cost $10k, and it's like a ¼ million to raise a kid to adult. Also, weve been told, "the environment is going to kill us." Do you want to know you raised a kid to die of heat death @ 25 years old? It's a crummy environment and then there's the factoid that men just have less testosterone than in the 70s. I guarantee that someone knows why that is, but no solutions are forthcoming.
ОтветитьWolf are Afraid sheep is not Breeding anymore 😂
Ответитьi'm never having kids.
ОтветитьI found my best friend and love of my life on Tinder. But i think a lot of people arent self aware these days to know what they are looking for. Social media and the internet has skewed our understanding of ourselves.
ОтветитьHaving kids is a high personal, financial and lifestyle risk. Best case your kids are "normal", i.e. well adjusted and is able to support themselves at 18. Best case isn't typical, especially in a morally sick culture. Also, the cultural expectation of having kids was going away in the 1970's when we were all told by the beautiful people that humans were "destroying the planet". Well the beautiful people got what they wanted which will be fewer human resources to keep the world running and fewer soldiers to fight their stupid wars.
ОтветитьIMO, your analysis is very flawed. On a planet that has rapidly depleted resources and destroyed ecosystems to fulfill the materialistic desires fed to us by corporations who market those very products that have depleted resources and destroyed ecosystems, it's a good thing population is declining. Perhaps with a smaller population, some of the devastation wrecked by the current overpopulation can be reversed.
ОтветитьWhy starting by saying it's a huge problem for the entire world ? It's only a problem for the economy so maybe the solution is to change the way the economy works...
ОтветитьI am making $19.50 an hour in a state you need to make $25+ to live in. Next year I will not be getting a raise but my healthcare benefits are going up 40% next year
ОтветитьI feel like dating apps are more damaging to you straighties than us queer folk
ОтветитьMoney for kids where? Give money!.
ОтветитьThe poorest people worldwide have the largest number of children, so being too expensive isn't the cause.
ОтветитьSpending over a million dollars per kill will make sure you work until your very old. I choose to retire way early. Time is your most valuable asset not material things.
ОтветитьI kinda only look at single mums as dating options rn. I don't want to have my own kid
ОтветитьSorry, I refuse to have children in an environment where I cannot provide them with a home AND parenting.
ОтветитьI am from the UK and I reckon I've roughly spent around £52,800 (about $64,416) on my son, who’s now 13. I’ve averaged it out at £300 a month, which covers school meals, one-on-one cricket lessons, snacks when we're out, clothing, and my contributions to his free/charter school each month. By the time he’s 17, that figure will probably be around £67,200 (or $81,984).
If I double that to include what my wife spends – on singing and piano lessons, meals in restaurants, clothing, entertainment, pocket money – we’re looking at about £105,600 (or $128,832) by now, and possibly £134,400 (or $163,968) by the time he turns 17! This includes holidays to the USA, around Europe, ski holidays, and school trips.
When Millennials and following generations get old they/we will be effed. Inflation will be at a peak, not enough workers for anything available, those who aren't rich will be alone with no one to care for them. Following generations probably might just avoid the drop as the world slowly adjusts but those before...well, we just shouldn't get old at all. Like veggie brain old, better die in our sleep at around 60-70 😅
ОтветитьBut don't the libs say that people are the root cause of global warming thus we should have fewer kids to not destroy the planet. Also abortion is very popular which prevents birth.....
ОтветитьI WISH on everything this was true across the board because where i live, it's like everybody i know has one of those semen demons now
ОтветитьDINKLEBURG!!!! shakes fist
ОтветитьWhy would you want to have kids if they are going to be raised by someone else?
I'm not just talking about single-income not being enough. There's also what is being taught in schools. The ridiculous DEI initiatives, 'everyone is a winner', and boys can be girls too ideologies. The "leaders" in gov't are bought and paid for and don't care. Their solution is open borders and let them illegal migrants in.
Incondicional love, like loving your kids, has no price. It gives you purpose, commitment and sense to your life. Your life maybe stressful, less focus on yourself, but richer in terms of belonging and affection, very important as you age.
ОтветитьIf you are a man you are more likely to lose everything in a divorce including visitation. Men are also more likely to be stuck with child support bills. Having children and getting married is a risk men can no longer take.
ОтветитьIn my case, I have never been interested in having children.
People have simply realized that they can choose not to have children.
IF YOU CAN'T FEED THEM DON'T BREED THEM
ОтветитьThis is B.S. Only certain economic classifications of people are not having kids. The news reports always say the birthrates a declining. Yeah, right! If they were we wouldn't have the issues we have in this world today. They won't simply report that we need to get the birthrates down. The news reports this to protect special interest groups....doctors, teachers, baby product companies, etc. Yes, I never had kids and I'm a boomer, a generation that did have a lot of kids. Anyone who has kids had no right to complain about the economy or the environment!!
ОтветитьChildcare is easy to solve. Socialize it. And no, I don't need your claptrap about 'paying for others' lifestyle choices' because those children WILL BE your doctors, your engineers, your hairdressers, plumbers and what not. You NEED those children to be able to comfortably enjoy your millions you saved on not having your own. But as we know, anything common sense is immediately labeled 'communism' in the US, so whatever...
ОтветитьWhat about the people who lie about their availability on social apps? I quickly learned that most guys I met on dating sites were married or in a relationship. Also, it’s hard to even find people in my age group and geographic proximity because I live in a small, remote town.
Ответить>Eliminate alimony.
>Cut child support to 15% of wages.
>Allow men to make a one-time payment to women for the safe delivery of at baby if she is considering abortion. She'll relinquish all parental rights and responsibilities. Custody goes to the man, the woman is well compensated for her pain.
>Dismantle dating apps.
>Criminalize e-prostitutes.
Follow these steps and 80% of the issues get fixed with dating, marriages, divorce rates and abortion issues.
Isn’t it weird? In a way it’s like selected breeding. Only the Rich is worthy of an offspring. Shivers. Dystopian society. I see even more now with “AI” taking over.
ОтветитьAnd watch them not care because “AI” but what they don’t realize is that less job, less people, less movement = less money. Then money will have no value at all. It will be health, safety, and resources.
ОтветитьIt's not the money. Money is just a socially acceptable excuse. The real reason is because we prefer to be alone, without having to take care of annoying husbands and babies.
ОтветитьUnited States will become the new Japan if we keep going at this rate!
ОтветитьLiterally one car and one home and hubby and I work full time and have to commute one hour and thirty minutes by air to get to work because we can’t afford to live in the city we work from. 736 miles one way!
ОтветитьVery good video. We are a GenX/Boomer couple, do not have children, and are certainly in a better financial position than many of our friends with children. Another issue is that many of our friends have children who have mental illness issues, substance abuse issues, etc. that are putting our friends in debt when they should be happily approaching retirement--I would be scared to have a child now. Also, you are a very good presenter, but you should brush up on the difference between "fewer" and "less", and "there is" and "there are." .
ОтветитьThe oligarchy and capitalism caused all this. Corporations caused the DINK thing. Families used to consist of a stay at home person and a working person. The stay at home person looked after the kids did all the home stuff, and the work person came home to all that done and spare time to actually spend time with their kids. NONE of that is possible any more. In the average household BOTH parents have to work JUST to survive because one income isn't enough to pay the mortgage even without kids, we're working more hours than ever before, driving longer commutes than ever before, and working in more stressful environments than ever before, in a complete lack of stability where your job could be gone any minute, in a situation where if you were lucky enough to earn enough to buy a house than your house, along with your job could be gone any minute. Who the hell would be so utterly irresponsible as to have kids in these conditions? I would say that anyone having kids under these conditions is utterly crazy!!
People have no money, no time, no energy to have kids any more. Corporations have taken all that away. What the hell did they expect to happen?? It's not a complicated issue at all. It's no mystery at ALL why people aren't having kids. It's stupidly obvious!!
India and Bangladesh ready to fill up those countries
ОтветитьWhy is low birth rate bad? Don’t get it It’s just all about consumption. It’s big companies who want more people to keep buying. Good glad the birth rate is going down.
ОтветитьI am 61. I knew when I was a child I would never want children. My parents were clueless- children have to go to the doctor, the dentist. They need clothes and a college education. My Dad said God would provide- he must have been on vacation.
ОтветитьI call BS. Take xenophobia, racism, and hypernationalism out of the picture than there is no "fertility crisis." Any future labor shortages in developed nations will be because of governments restrictions on immigration and foreign labor. Declining birth rates in specific geographical regions are NOT the problem here.
Ответить
