If the hatcheries are already grouped and you can snap the camera to a group with a double press of the number, why bother with screen locations?
Ответить1 year and only 16k new zergs 😢
ОтветитьHi, why not just do the injects directly on the mini map?
ОтветитьThank you for the video!
ОтветитьI wish that you could get them auto inject.
Ответитьhi HuShang, can you help me with my problem? When I create drones, overlords, and sirglins, how can I make them automatically go where I wanted them to go? like when they are born they immediately go where you want them to go, how do you do that? like every time a drone or lords are spawned after birth, they stand right above my hatchery and I'm forced to select them and send them where I want them to go. It's just annoying. thx for your respond
ОтветитьOther options to consider: Setting a key to "Base Cycle" macro reduces the need to make camera keybound locations and can be used with just one button, reducing your movement over the keyboard. Secondly, Queen injects stack and queue infinitely. Meaning 2 queens can stack injects from full energy and the injects will pop as they finish one after another.
ОтветитьIm gold... didnt know about using F1 F2 etc. for your bases... i always use 1 hotkey per queen to get to the base and have the queen, now i know why i have so many hotkeys xD
Ответитьhow to save the queens in "tab"?
ОтветитьWhat about using the base camera to switch between bases?
ОтветитьSet base cam to space
Queens on control group
Hold shift + V
Spam space + Left click
Done.
Waste of 9 minutes
Generally good advice, but if you're going to make a beginner's guide, you shouldn't push players towards methods that require perfect timing and control to work properly.
Like your method of control-group control for queens. This used to be my main method, before I understood camera hotkeys, and I was accidently shuffling my queens around all the time and losing track of them. Things like the closest queen not having enough energy, or accidently hitting the ability twice due to rapidkeys. Plus it's super awkward if you want to queue up injects after you've missed a few and have built up energy (something you didn't to cover). Even high-level players like Solar miss their injects sometimes and need to queue.
IMO, learning camera hotkeys, using the box/select method and setting up rapidkeys is THE way to go for a beginner zerg. And queue up those injects when you inevitably fall behind on your macro cycle.
how do you set queens to tab? The game doesn't let me, it only accepts numbers
ОтветитьJust a heads up - the playlist this video is in says 2021, not 2022.
Thanks for the guide!
The way I've been doing it - have all my queens in a control group. Hit the control group - then HOLD shift+inject keybind, then click, space - click, space - click, space - click until cycled through all the hatcheries. The space goes queen to queen and click obviously injects. Is there a downside to this method?
Ответитьthanks bro, good guide! gonna inject you with a like n a sub!
ОтветитьThanks for this. Some questions from me:
1. How many camera locations do you set up? 4 is not enough, right? That's why I use the base key to go over all my hatcheries (incl. macro hatches in the main). Do you just forgo injecting hatcheries beyond 4th?
2. What's inacurate about base cam (esp. in light of 1.)?
3. I never hotkeyed my inject queens from fear of one of them dying and messing up the cycle (e.g. wandering around), do you not see it as a big problem?
Thanks for your content!
Very nice. (I'm not a zerg, but yea..nice)
By the way dear Hushang, I think day9 had wonderful ideas here, he had a day9 day off (it was friday):
I'm all for starcraft, anyways just adding on top for some bonus love for streamer, I think adding another game once a week or anything (once in a while for a day), one of those shorter games (solo play or so), is really funny to watch his favorite GM player in. Back then one of them was (for one day) FTL (faster than light), he is a starcraft pro gamer, but really struggled there, and it's also control based. But that's more of an "outdated" game in terms of hype (also the other game of those devs not), so what ever floats your boat. Certainly nothing super normal or popular imo (like those big games, you know).(I think he got indie-game-suggestions by viewers)
Anyways this other pro gamer did it because he wanted to, and explore his excitement for other games, a little bit. IMO it also attracts some other people to your main game I could imagine, but mainly it will just be to relax and add in a little bit of flavor and laugh [offtopic to this post, this is hidden in this text to adress the streamer or the interested reader: the video title in starcraft 2 that impressed me viewerwise was: How to get started with StarCraft 2 - Macro Tutorial - All Three Races (NEW 2020), with more than 200k viewers. I mentioned this in your channel but I think I had forgottten the exact title then. End of offtopic.] Day9 has really nice examples for these fun events, but as far as starcraft goes you can see by other streamers in their viewer numbers the ones that adress newer players have good examples of what's interesting and most demanded (at that time, just look at viewer numbers).
A more sc2-ish event that I enjoyed was watching hero marine play vs viewers in custom melee maps that had certain challenges on top of normal play here is the title: Unfair StarCraft Ep.8 - HeRoMaRinE - Full English version. It didn't have too many video viewers (probably cause it was a lifestream), but I thought this was really refreshing and a very funny event - could be improved but the principle was interesting.
Anyways what ever floats one's boat. The tutorials here are certainly wonderful.
The content is good, but there’s a lot of bass in your voice. I’d recommend looking at your eq again.
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial but honestly you digress too much. You spent like 3 minutes just on an overlord going to the opposite base. Can we please get some quick guides to what we need to do and thats it? I tried zerg for the first time as a beginner and its already so overwhelming. I just wanna know a simple quick guide to pumping out units. Not all this other fluf man. I got a bit annoyed watching your video.
ОтветитьWhat would be even more helpful (looking at you Blizzard); is if they set up the base locations as default camera positions.
ОтветитьThanks for the education. My question is what finger do you use to press R key? Alternating f1 thru f4 while pressing R key rapidly feels so awkward for my hand... cant get the hang of it
ОтветитьThis is the most detailed guide I've watched so far! It's very helpful. Great work!
ОтветитьSomething you failed to mention, or I failed to pick up, in this and the Zerg Macro guide is that Injects can queue. Very helpful to slow players like myself. I try to do 2 injects most cycles in case I missed one. I often get the "not enough energy" alert, which is annoying, but it's also a "you injected on time" alert, which is nice. This wouldn't work with your preferred hotkeyed queens method, though, as you pointed out.
ОтветитьFirst off, your content is soooo good and underappreciated (so far). Second, the upper left keyboard is brilliant! Third, your Zerg Macro guide changed my SC2 life! I look forward to this guide, too.
ОтветитьCan't you just use base camera, is there a difference?
ОтветитьKeep up the great content!
