What year is the AC275? I see in the specs, the pickup was changed from the F60 to a LR Baggs.
ОтветитьThanks for this comparison.
ОтветитьI have an AC 175. Slightly smaller body, same sweet Carvin quality and sound. I am thinking that it is a collectible now
ОтветитьGreat comp.
ОтветитьI've had the 275 for years. It's so comfortable, easy to play, and has great sound, it's a one of a kind guitar, I think the good Lord led me to it and blessed me with it. P.S., the new owners should have kept the good "Carvin" name, huge mistake I think.
Ответить375 sounds more professional.
ОтветитьThank you so much for finally putting a good demo of these guitars for people to hear. All the other demos I have heard are people putting distortion on the guitar or tons of chorus effect. It's as if people don't realize that this is an acoustic guitar. I just want to hear how it sounds plugged in to a good PA or acousticamp with a tiny bit of Reverb on it. Apparently you are the only one that realizes that so thank you so much. I'm heading out to finally buy one:-)
ОтветитьWhich one is which?
ОтветитьBeautiful sounding guitar. I bought the actual guitar being played in this video. Super nice and very talented guy
ОтветитьHow much of the percussive sound of tapping on the guitar's top would come through amplified? (Or would you need to install different pickups for that..?)
ОтветитьMy Preference is the AC-275.. Its Sounds Crisp & Melodious..
ОтветитьNeither of these guitar sound acoustic to any capacity. They are also made horribly. Forgo these two guitars.
ОтветитьDo either play similar to a electric guitar? Which one feels more like a electric on the neck
ОтветитьWhat amp are you using ? I have a 375 and am trying to find the right one! Thanks
ОтветитьI am going to have to agree with some of the comments below. I believed that having a slightly wider body that the AC375 sounded better than the AC275. However, it has been made clear after seeing and hearing this video that I was wrong. A few things to point out, the AC375 does use a Fishman system which I have known through use that they produce a sort of "quacky" sound. I am not sure what system the AC275 has, but it sounds more natural to my ear, more like what you hear from an acoustic guitar when mic'd. I am very impressed with these guitar, and both are great in there own right. However, if I were to say choose the AC375, I might have to add other external sources to make the guitar sound more natural, or possibly even change out the under saddle pickup to something a little bit higher quality.
ОтветитьI need a comparison to the Taylor t5.
ОтветитьSounds amazing
ОтветитьGood
ОтветитьI was considering buying ac 275 and compared it to to my Taylor 414ce. The Carvin sounded so much better than the Taylor (plugged in of course) it was like they are in two different leagues. Needless to say, I'm buying that 275. Sounds incredible.
ОтветитьI can't believe how nice the 275 sounds. It sounds almost like a mic'd acoustic guitar. It's hard to believe how good it sounds. It really does sound better than any other acoustic electric guitar I've heard plugged in. Carvin claims the AC275 sounds better than full sized acoustic plugged in and according to the video, it's true. That guitar could be used in the studio even for strummed acoustic tracks it sounds so good.
ОтветитьBoth sound very nice ... I think the 375 a bit more "acoustic". I wonder if the Koa accounts for some of the added warmth on the 275? I'm looking for a thin acoustic that feels as close to an electric as possible to play. Do you think one of these fits that bill?
ОтветитьThanks for the great demo!
ОтветитьYes this is a great video and great playing! I have been debating between the three Carvin AC Models. Have you ever played the AC175? I assume it would sound similar to the 275 as they have the same electronics?
ОтветитьThe 375 has a much louder and fuller sound, and it is still 2-1/2 inches wide, where the 275 body thickness is 1-7/8 thick. Unlplugged I am told the 275 is barely audible, where the 375 is louder. The other cool thing about Carvin's is the smooth neck heel, it is just the best feel, it's hard to go to anything else after playing one.
ОтветитьBoth sound nice :) My preference is the AC-275. Trying to get away from the Fishman tranducers. Really liking the L.R. Baggs stuff. The AC-275 has the Baggs ribbon pickup in it, and the one with the three knobs in front. The tone can be further enhanced, putting it through an LR Baggs Venue DI. Decent price too, around $900-$1000.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for posting. 2 questions, if you don't mind. What gauge strings are you using? And how are these guitars for playing lead? Either better than the other? Thanks.
ОтветитьI am looking to retire my thin line Guild S4CE HG as my primary gig guitar. Would you recommend the AC275 or the AC375?
ОтветитьThis guitars are really fine instruments..
ОтветитьFinally, a newer demo of carvinc acoustic thinline..thanks j!
