its been a while since I was in Raleigh but that looks like a new development to me. The classic Raleigh style is that middle class neighborhood right off NC State Campus that looks like the Griswold house from National Lampoon Christmas Vacation, with wider streets and sidewalks.

No sidewalks :(

American towns are all the same.
All are very badly designed.

Why are there no sidewalks? Do Americans not go for walks? Reminds me of Ray Bradbury's short story "The Pedestrian".

American towns and suburbs are peaceful beautiful scenery but very boring to live there unless you born and raised there

Cary, a suburb of Raleigh, was given an acronym nickname many years ago: Containment Area of Relocated Yankees (CARY), due to the number of New Yorkers that would relocate and often choose Cary as their new home.. This caused me think of acronyms for the Triangle's other cities and the one that I came up with for Raleigh was: Relocated And Local Engineers in Gorgeous Houses. This was due to what you just watched and the fact that Raleigh and the Triangle has a strong STEM economy.
