Hi, thanks, swiching to dustrikid...3 months cdbaby has not got my tracks to spotify..terrible costomer service
And getting through the bot ebery time, weeks to fet back to me, or no fallow through, lost my e mails. And staff that does not know the system...i can not belive it. So moving on. Hope i get my money back...unlikely lol...

Charles, I appreciate this video, it was very helpful to me in order to get a refreshed opinion on what's current. i have been with cdbaby for 20 years and have never had any problems. The only issue I have is the amounts being charged for individual downloads across the globe. It's shocking to get the annual sales reports and see .01 cents for a single download. This is a huge slap in the face of us artist who work so hard to bring our talents to the table. Thanks again ! A. H.

Hard to know after watching. A 9 percent cut sounds crazy to me. I have heard lots of negative reviews from people about distrokid But also cd baby. This is like buying a product on Amazon with mixed reviews! 😆 need more feedback from other people…

Distro kid was charging me $39 monthly. I made $7? Wtf not worth it at all… Specially when you are starting… I know at least a couple people streamed my songs… Jisy wasn’t worth it, I think CD baby is gonna be better for me since they say every time someone uses my song in their background or their stories makes me money so I’m gonna try, people do use my music on instagram reels and I didn’t know I could get paid for that.

Great video and info! So, I released an album via Distro 4 months ago. I'm wanting to release another album in May, but I'm thinking about using Cdbaby. If I use Cdbaby, will this 2nd album still show up under my already existing name on streaming platforms? I hope my question makes sense and thanks in advance.

So I'm gone for five years. I go to upload some new music to my CD Baby account. They can't find me. I don't have access to my email or my password or my phone number from 5 years ago. We can't find anything by your artist name or your projects. I have seven albums. Through CD Baby. They keep wanting my old email I'm like I have no idea what that is or the phone number I had five years ago. You can't use my legal name to search your database. I'm sorry sir but that artist name doesn't have an account. How come I can Google my name and all my projects are still for sale on the internet digitally distributed by CD Baby. Now I feel like the contact person at cdbaby is upset with me and now I'm f****. I had over $1,000 I my CD Baby account and where is it I can't access it? I feel like CD Baby is too big now and if you need to contact them for a problem you're absolutely screwed. I'm in utter disbelief but my projects are out there for sale on the internet but I have no access to my account on CD Baby. Absolutely mind-boggling. F** you CD Baby

ya'll they don't pay their artist don't use them. they literally have been harassing me at work because i asked for my payments and attacked me

I have $6.32 for 4090 streams at the moment with Distrokid. I was thinking 3-4 times more when calculated it at the beginning. At least counting on to pay a year subscription. They tell it's ok and i think it's not okay. The problem is- i can do nothing with it, but strongly don't want to release something big with them.

One bad thing about CDBaby - if you sell physical CDs through them, they will charge you money to send them back to you if they don't sell! OR they'll THROW THEM AWAY, err, recycle them, meaning throw them away in a planet friendly fashion. This has been in the fine print since 2014, but they never enforced it UNTIL NOW. Do NOT sell physical CDs through CDBaby - they don't even ship them. They are a middleman between you and Amazon.

Two weeks ago, a copyright complaint was sent against my song, which is Cover
CD baby deleted all my albums and pages on all platforms
I tried to talk to CD Baby, but they told me that I had to talk to the artist via his e-mail, and when I spoke to him, he refused to return the song or even remove the copyright.
And I can't do anything
So my question is, can I open a new account in CD baby
And the new account is made up of another email
And completely different
Not the same artist name can I???
