I much preferred alfred hitchcock presents vs twilight zone
ОтветитьHow talk shows have changed in my lifetime.
ОтветитьDick Cavett has a very playfull manner of asking questions. He always hits the right sweetspot between playful and serious with his guest. He adds the right ammount of playfulness and almost everyone engages him. if the question is too offensive, the guest might not wanna answer it. If the question is too serious, the audience would consider it dull.
ОтветитьHis idea for the ending of .....the birds.....is hilarious....it's on the 📀 on the special features✌️🖖😺
ОтветитьA rare personality….
ОтветитьRope and the maid with the books. Suspense!
ОтветитьWhy do people pay to get scared? 🤔
ОтветитьNot for his reputations sake and bts stories, he looks like a bastardized version of tony soprano and Winston Churchill
ОтветитьHitchcock got the people to act for him like he wanted them to. He'd routinely find a new talent (instead of established actors) deliberately so he'd not have to teach an old dog new tricks. I wonder how serious are the claims that he was abusing Tippi Hedren while filming The Birds, and how much of it was an attempt to spectacularize and capitalize on it after all these years. Acting in The Birds had to be very tough will all the bird attacks to the faces of the actors.
ОтветитьI still can't figure out why he had a nasty beef with one of his actors!? Did he flirt with her and she said "Hello no!" And it fell apart from there? Why was SHE the only target. That still biggles my mind. 😖
ОтветитьNot talking about their feelings, no therapy talk, just film craft and expertise.
ОтветитьHi Albrad
ОтветитьNow he's a dirty old man...
ОтветитьAs awkward an interviewer as I think Cavett can be hes amassed an incredible archive of information and stories from these interviews
ОтветитьRelief - Not subvert expectations
ОтветитьAnd now we have men dressed as women on the things
ОтветитьEven though Hitchcock is primarily known for psychologically dark films, he ends up being his true Leo (star sign). Once he trusts you for your own intellect, he opens right up, as Leo is ruled by the sun not the moon! I honestly think he was a lot of fun but was miserable because he truly hated vanity, as it limits a person's intellect. Hollywood was not the best place for his storytelling genius.
ОтветитьThe man sexually harassed his female actors. He forced himself on them. Disgusting. Read Tippie Hedron's bio (actress from THE BIRDS).
ОтветитьHe is a classic
ОтветитьWth movie was this 'boy with a bomb'? Surprised Cavett never mentioned the title
ОтветитьHitch. A wonderful character.
ОтветитьI wonder is Hitchcock might have appreciated Johnny Depp, as an actor?
ОтветитьRichard Alva Cavett (/ˈkævɪt/; born November 19, 1936) is an American television personality, comedian and former talk show host. He appeared regularly on nationally broadcast television in the United States for five decades, from the 1960s through the 2000s.
ОтветитьI had a better opinion of him until I read what happened between him Tippi Hedren. I did not know that he used real birds in the movie of that title and Ms. Hedren suffered injuries to her face and neck. He was quite dark.
ОтветитьHitchcock was obviously a tremendous talent, but .... errr .... 'propositioned' far too many of his leading ladies.
ОтветитьWhy is nobody talking about how big Alfred Hitchcock‘s hands are.
ОтветитьConsidering the assault accusations against him, this interview didn't exactly age well.
Ответитьall breasts sag eventually 😂
Ответитьthis man was very depressed
ОтветитьThe Red Flair Pen
ОтветитьPersonally with the child with a bomb scene was correct to end like it did, I would watch it assuming the kid would survive somehow but the child dying and everyone else on the bus would be such a shock and terrifying.
ОтветитьThis gentleman had intelligence and gravitas.
ОтветитьLike him or hate him, Hitch was brilliant!
ОтветитьPerhaps Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers & Jimmy Fallon could take some cues on a proper interview for late night television!!!
Ответить"All breasts sag eventually." 🤣
ОтветитьSuch a fascinating man, could listen to him for ages.
ОтветитьI like how on every single Dick Cavett clip I've seen there are 20 people comparing him to Fallon. Give it a rest, folks. We know Fallon's an idiot
ОтветитьJust shows how dreadful Anthony Hopkins acting portrayal was.
ОтветитьThe legendary Alfred Hitchcock, what a character he was! His filming methods of suspense were genius and still untouchable today! His movies have as much impact today as they did when he made them! What a legend! RIP Sir Alfred Hitchcock!
ОтветитьPossibly the greatest movie director ever, he really understood what creates peoples emotions. Some of the camera angles he used were revolutionary.
ОтветитьToday 2022 he would have no problems but perhaps viewers would also have no triggers.
ОтветитьIts a shame what they get away with now. It is definitely contributing to sex being mixed with violence. None of it is necessary. Usually, if two people are together, you dont need it shoved in your face. Same with violence. It has become gross. And so hard to choose a movie worthy of seeing because of it all.
ОтветитьThis guy molested Tippi
ОтветитьSo the child was killed
ОтветитьEven though he made great movies, Hitchcock was also an abuser.
ОтветитьIt is a well-known fact that he had a fixation with Hedren. At some point, this fixation reached epic levels. According to Donald Spoto, author of Hitchcock: The Dark Side of Genius, the director hired private detectives to check up on her, had her handwriting analysed for signs of morally suspect character and tried to control where she went and what she wore in her private life. After The Birds was completed, Hitchcock sent Hedren's five-year-old daughter, Melanie Griffith, a miniature doll of her mother dressed as her movie character in a tiny coffin.
ОтветитьBack when people were interviewed, asked questions and the interviewer listened and didn't think people were tuning in to listen to them rattle on.
ОтветитьHe'd be canceled today
