I kinda miss times when I was playing on local private server with 100 players online max, and if you did something wrong dudes could’ve asked their admin friend for your IP address and meet you irl. Never happened to me, but I knew about some cases of that.

This guy is very self rightous and egocentric, he gives off those vibes where you know he would explain something bad away with his ethics. I dont mind what he did in the game but I personally would stay the fuck away because this guy is a walking red light.

I dont get why the chat was so toxic towards him. Those are the stories people in 10 years will still remember. This was by far the most interesting/funny hardcore clip. And I couldnt care less for people that make their own rules when it comes to HC but telling others that Raid deaths cannot be appealed. This man is a legend.

1) He loves Hardcore Vanilla WoW and that is why he does all that he does.
2) The guild was filled with "corruption" and people holding double standards and being hypocrites.
3) The way they were playing "wasn't real hardcore" and "killing the spirit of hardcore" and that is why they had to be judged
4) "if this was real hardcore they wouldn't have made it so far"

BRUH it came out your own damn mouth it wasn't a real hardcore server. You're getting mad their way wasn't "real hardcore" on a server that wasn't real hardcore? You say you spent all this time teaching them how to play right but apparently too much of a coward to stand in true confrontation and say their way wasn't legit, wouldn't hold them on a real HC server, and you don't want to continue playing like them? Instead you have to be fake and slink around and try to ruin their fun because you think their way of fun wasn't valid even though it was being allowed on that server? You say they wouldn't have made it that far on a real server, but how about they wouldn't have made it that far without you helping them? You sitting there actively facilitating the stuff you dislike until you feel you have to pull a stunt like this?

look, I mean, this dude is being vilified over 1 move by a lot of people that didn't even take the time to check his motivation. Sure his move was a dickmove and was a bit overkill. but at the end of the day it wasn't even "forced hardcore" they had an addon for it (which you can tinker with and remove data from, as he said in the interview) and none of them actually lost their character, it's up to them to delete their character. the worst you can say about him is that he used an overkill move to root out the hypocrisy in their hardcore setup.
accidental and purposeful wipes happen all the time in regular raids, so tbh. sure in actual forced hardcore where your character will get deleted as soon as you die, yes I'd call it griefing. but in this fake addon fueled hardcore it's a bit hard to call a raidwipe griefing. they lost nothing except for the idea of 'not having died', which is easily faked with an addon.

the worst I can say is that it was a dick move, made by a dude with somewhat okay reasoning (if it's true). the biggest issue i have is the arrogant way of talking about it, the whole " I fixed their shit and they didn't even actually adhere to the hardcore rules" becomes a bit much after a while. sure he might have helped out that guild a lot, but the way he's always saying that it was "100% his help that got them this far" is quite arrogant. even if it's true and he helped them a lot, he could've said it in a less arrogant way, like "he did his best to improve the things where he saw possible improvement" and not "100% we got this far cause of my big balls"
