Allergy Awareness - ecostore and Dr Vincent Crump

New Zealand has one of the highest rates of Allergies in the world.

This is alarmingly high so we decided to talk to the experts and find out why this occurs, what we can do and more in this series on #AllergyAwareness.

In this episode we look into Fragrances. There are currently over 5000 fragrances in use in cosmetics and body care but also in things you wouldn't expect such as nappies and rubbish bags! Fragrance is one of the top allergens that causes ACD (Allergen Contact Dermatitis). Unless products specifically state they are Fragrance Free they will most likely have a fragrance added to them, even if it just a 'masking' scent to cover the smell of the formulation.
